Establishment jews tell establishment lies.

The idea of Benjamin Netanyahu stopping the settlements is out of the question. There are many business men in Israel who have major business interests in developing in the settlements -billion $ contracts. They paid heavily for Ben’s election campaign. They need all the development contracts and Ben is obligated to provide it for them. Otherwise he might not last too long!
Any deal for peace has to include their investments and profits.

Charlie, Charlie, Charlie.
"As a small-town mayor in the drug-trafficking western state of Michoacan, she survived two assassination attempts. One claimed the life of her husband; another three months later left her badly wounded.
That was in 2009 and 2010. Her mayoral term ended in 2011. And over the weekend, Maria de los Santos Gorrostieta Salazar was slain, apparently tortured and beaten to death, her body dumped in a ravine."
This was reported on November 20th too but in Mexico.

IT WOULD BE A WELCOME THING INDEED...
... were we to see, as the result of a brokered peace after this initial brokered ceasefire, a cessation of terrorism from Gaza, a relaxation of the embargo of Gaza, and clear and unambiguous cutting of Iranian tentacles into Gaza; and of course Syria and Lebanon also may soon see their own Iranian tentacles cut. May it be so!

After awhile one becomes fatigued and then ceases to think about or even pay attention to a situation that never resolves itself. It seems that every week there is a new Peace Initiative or Cease Fire being implemented between the Israelis and the Palestinians. This conflict has dragged on so long that it has eclipsed in longevity the 30 Years War, the Cold War and is only to be outdone by the 100 Years War.

"President Obama asked me to come to Israel with a very clear message: America's commitment to Israel's security is rock-solid and unwavering. That is why we believe that it is essential to de-escalate the situation in Gaza." The only sense I can make out of this is that the US doesn't want to be dragged into a wider war.
I noticed, too, that The Post and networks portrayed Hillary riding to the rescue. Perhaps they know more than I do, but it seems all she's done is delay the ceasefire brokered by the Egyptians and may yet undo it, and appears to be just more image management from the Obama admin, which I doubt wants to be seen being shown up by Morsi, the president considering himself primus inter pares. In that regard I thought his remark to the Burmese, that he never gave hope they'd come around, at the least, condescending.
Similarly, Reuters reports this morning: "Clinton earlier...praised Mursi's 'personal leadership and Egypt's efforts thus far' to end the Gaza conflict and promote regional stability. 'As a regional leader and neighbor, Egypt has the opportunity and responsibility to continue playing a crucial and constructive role in this process. I will carry this message to Cairo tomorrow (Wednesday),' she said, pledging to work for a truce 'in the days ahead.'" How nice of her.
I take umbrage also at Ross' notion that we've bought the Egyptians off. They are likely taking on the security of Gaza in return for continuing support for peace with Israel, because in essence Gaza's border is now their border. They had been working on a permanent peace for some time. The CFR has been shown to be even more of a non-entity in this process than the Palestinian Authority.
Qatar's head of state visited Gaza last month pledging $400 million in aid and has also been working to resolve the issues there. Hamas broke ties with Assad, too, which Qatar no doubt urged, tho it maintains ties with Iran. But it is not clear anymore whether Iran is the enemy. Following Morsi's visit to Gaza Friday, eight Arab ministers arrived yesterday to express solidarity.
IMHO it's the possibility of peace, coming on top of his own increasing irrelevancy, which prompted Netanyahu to act, and if he can he'll put off agreeing to anything indefinitely. As Khalidi said he just takes and promises, (much, I'm afraid, as does our own president).
Reuters added: "Israel's best-selling Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said an emerging outline of a ceasefire agreement called for Egypt to announce a 72-hour ceasefire followed by further talks on long-term understandings. Under the proposed document, which the newspaper said neither party would be required to sign, Israel would hold its fire, end attacks against top militants and promise to examine ways to ease its blockade of Gaza, controlled by Hamas.... Hamas, the report said, would pledge not to strike any Israeli target and ensure other Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip also stop their attacks. An Israeli political source said differences holding up a deal centered on a Hamas demand to lift the Gaza blockade completely and the kind of activity that would be allowed along the frontier, where Israeli troops often fire into the enclave to keep Palestinians away from an area near a border fence. Hamas official Ezzat al-Rishq said the main stumbling block was 'the temporary timeframe for a ceasefire that the Israelis want us to agree to.' ...The London-based Al Hayat newspaper, citing sources in Hamas and Islamic Jihad, said Israel wanted a 90-day period to determine 'good intentions' before discussing Palestinian demands, a position the report said the groups have rejected. Rishq said a short-term truce, whose proposed duration he did not disclose, 'would only buy (Israel) time' until a general election in January and 'we would have accomplished nothing in the way of a long-term truce'."
