... then you can join, good ole Ralph Reed; as he tours and pillages the countryside of God Fearing 'intellectuals' i.e. smart people (just because we work for a living doesn't mean we can't also be, 'smart people'.). Yeah, we can all line up, and turn around, and drop our britches, and bend over, and spread our butt cheeks, for the great crusading, Ralph Reed and his 'republican associate' Reverend Neil. .. wouldn't that be fun, and profitable; and you won't even have to work.
Yeah Buddy.
I'm gonna pray that it happens for you, cause I like you. Then maybe you can let me join the elete too?. Yeah Buddy.
MisterMittster 10/27/2012 02:54 PM Report
... but then again, if you prefer to hold on to your 'republican dogma' as a security blanket against the 'socialist' confusion.?. Then take soltice in knowing that, Jaysis!(like you) was also a carpenter too! And according to, Carl Rove and many others (strength in numbers), Jaysis! was also a republican! Nailed to the cross for the sins of the Democrats! .. Damn Straight!
So relish the pain, as President Obama, tries his hand at carpentry and nails you to the cross (hopefully, he won't miss and hit your thumb (cause that Really Hurts); So hopefully nails your hands successfully to the cross, of your choosing (maybe he'll use a nail gun)(thank God, he's not Amish (talk about conservative). Hopefully he won't be technology averse, and mercifully use a nail gun to nail poor carpenter republican, Neil MacCallister, to the cross like his republican idol, Jaysis!. And then, Carl Rove and the others can beam with pride, and possibly use you in a commercial.
And then a new career, Mr. Neil MacCallister. Reverend Neil! Say, Halllehlooyahhh!!!!
MisterMittster 10/27/2012 02:35 PM Report
Neil,
Your perception of the Republican party is a 'romantacized' one. Which is what the marketing terrorists that make up the republicans today (like Carl Rove) are counting on to Keep you poor, docile, and ignorant.
Can you turn yourself into an illegal immigrant? Too. The professional politicians on both sides wish you could. It would help with their 'good for nothing' political careers. Do you think the republicans want to get 'more' serious with illegal immigration, just because that's what they say.? Ha! You believe that,? And I have a bridge to sell you. A republican business owner would much rather hire and illegal immigrant than You. Spanish immigrants are much easier to intimidate (they don't know their rights and are very timid), easier to control and take advantage of. I work construction too, for over 30 years, believe me, I've seen the reality, I Know what I'm talking about.

I did watch the final presidential debate on the subject of foreign policy.
If I recall correctly this presidential debate is happening in 2012, and Mitt Romney is comparing today's US Navy with the US Navy of 95 years ago. He wants to go back to the good old days of World War I.
When Mitt Romney was comparing the US Navy in 1917 with the current US Navy, Barack Obama should have mentioned to Mitt Romney some of the advances in military technology in the United States that has happened since 1917 such as:
Compared with 1917 today the US Military has:
1) More Nuclear weapons including thermonuclear warheads.
2) More satellites
3) More Intercontinental long-range ballistic missile that can be armed with thermonuclear warheads.
4) More Stealth bombers
5) More nuclear-powered submarines.
6) More aircraft carriers.
And so on....
Basically, Mitt Romney thinks that the world has not changed much since 1917.
Mitt Romney wants to develop a defense policy for the United States to be able to fight World War I.
Besides a bigger Navy, Mitt Romney wants to build a very large supply of “Mustard gas” and other chemical weapons as they used on WW I.
You can read about Mitt Romney's US strategic plan for future wars at:

President Obama's re-election will not affect me at all.
I am a carpenter -- I am poor now -- and his re-election will just keep me poor.
I will wish him good luck, as I did right here after his 2008 election.
But I will know that for another 4 more years, no customers in my area will have enough money to afford anything above minimum-wage payments, and that means I can't afford to bring along any of the young kids on my block as laborers or helpers to the jobsite.
They are the ones I worry most about. Have you seen a newspaper in the last 4 years? ..Have you noticed how what used to be 4 or 5 pages of "Want ads" for "Jobs offered" have now dwindled down to maybe just 3 ads total???
The obituary column is longer!!!
The heart of the Democrats is to put an end to work.
The heart of the Republicans is "Where can we work today?"
The heart of the Democrats is to secure a "Reverse Mortgage" on America. We sign over all property rights to their party, and live on the dole that they ration back to us.
I just wish that, as a Nation, we didn't have to live as lowly as this.
MittsterMeister 10/20/2012 03:26 PM Report
What will you do? Neil, if Obama is re-elected.
I some how picture you Screaming at the night sky in the midst of a thunderstorm, like, Gene Wilder as 'Young Frankenstein'. which was quite funny. that poor fool

What the heck is going on here????
Is this that board-game scene in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" where people are eating their game pieces, and other people stand around dazed, as others tortuously prod "Come on, play the game!"
I see John Harris saying "President Obama may continue his momentum" ..while he raises his hand in pace, ..but he then admits that Barack Obama is falling in the polls.
What the heck is going on??? ..Charlie? ..I thought PBS was supposed to be "educational television"????
I see NOT ONE commenter below making even ONE BIT of sense, or relating to even ONE BIT of the (feigned) "discussion" here presented by comrades Rose and 'what's his name'.
PLEASE Mr. Obama, ..please win this election, ..kill off America ENTIRELY, ..and put this whole charade out of its well-deserved humiliation and misery!!!

Keiser Report: High on Delusions – October 18, 2012
http://youtu.be/YiRiGw6hpjY0
In this episode, Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert discuss the Bobo and Gono global central banking clown show featuring Ben Bernanke and Gideon Gono and their crowd pleasing echo bubble gags and hyperinflationary squirting money printing flowers.
In the second half of the show, Max Keiser talks to Jim Rickards, author of CURRENCY WARS, about Ben Bernanke's speech in Japan where America's chief currency warrior warned emerging economies to appreciate their currencies or suffer inflation. Rickards also notes it could be the first time the head of the Federal Reserve has ever talked about the US dollar, normally the domain of the US Treasury..

Yes, because one is the challenger and one is the incumbent.

Mr Harris tried to grasp a concept, define it and articulate it, making it all as clear as mud for the audience in the end.
"It is the nuance of the give and take that is important rather than the substance of the visceral argument of the facts and figures." TABS 10/18/12
To elaborate, it is who can out think and out maneuver the other fellow in real time. To be successful at this one has to have the clarity of knowing and understanding process and mechanism, which allows one to be able to get into the other fellows head in order to be able to anticipate the other fellows next move and or response. This is providing definition for the Sun Tzu dictum of, "If one knows ones opponent and oneself one can win 100 battles without a single loss."
This was the trap that Obama set for Romney on the Libyan issue during the debate. Obama had figured out in the preceding week that the best way to thwart Romney was to "diss him" by telling him to talk to the hand, in other words ignore Romney to render his authority impotent. That rattled Romney, to which Romney appealed to the higher authority of the Moderator, who erred and further undermined Romney's veracity.
So now the official position of President Obama on Libya at least is who are you going to believe? Me, or your lying ears. President Obama is telling you that the meaning of his statements change to meet the exigencies of the current situation
REMant 10/18/2012 12:10 PM Report
There were no "guts" in this debate. It was all sound bites and half-truths. The president was especially weaselly. Politico is well known to be full of liberal news people, such as Harris, a former Washington Post reporter.
The Post BTW reported yesterday: "The latest [Gallup] seven-day tracking poll of likely voters shows Romney at 51 percent and Obama at 45 percent, up from 50-46 on Tuesday and 49-47 on Monday. Romney has steadily gained in the Gallup poll in recent weeks, turning what had been a growing deficit in September into a growing lead since his strong first debate performance. And when Gallup shifted its voter model from registered voters to likely voters last week, Romney's numbers improved even more (among registered voters, the race is at Romney 48, Obama 46). The new numbers, of course, don't include much or any data collected after Tuesday night's debate. It will take days to determine what effect that might have had. Gallup continues to show a better picture for Romney than most other pollsters. A Washington Post-ABC News poll released Monday showed Obama at 49 percent and Romney at 46 percent, while a Politico-George Washington University poll showed Obama at 49 percent and Romney at 48 percent. In addition, Democrats have cast doubt on Gallup's likely-voter model, with the Obama campaign releasing an entire memo on it earlier this week when Gallup showed Romney opening up a similar lead in the 12 most competitive states in the country."
I suppose this should be taken to mean Politico is slightly less Democratic than The Post. But why do the campaigns care? Because they are a self-fulfilling prophecy. People like to vote for winners, be on the inside. That's why their publication is banned on election day, and probably should be banned, period. Along with early voting. This strikes me as having an analogue in the way we do business, educate and think about many other things.
