Charles De Gaulle commented: 'A leader must have position, doctrine and courage.
Ratner and Prokhorov suggest leaders also have money, charm and plans. And more of the same as time goes on.
In this show, culture, sports and cool, are added to list of what we need to play ball in Brooklyn.
In the long run, luck, patience and experience are another useful trinity.
What about immortal decency? So many want to lead but have no reason why. Spectator sports are a lot more fun when you know some of the players on the field.

Mikhail Prokhorov's entry in Wikipedia is long and difficult for a non-expert reader to grasp with confidence on account of Russian culture and history, etc. But it is clear the man is tall and rich. He is ambitious. And, on the Rose show, he is very pleasant and attractive. Were he running for president of both Russia and America (if Chimerica were replaced by "Amerussia"-- the nation owning more nuclear bombs than all others combined and multiplied by 10 or more), I would vote for him. As it is, we may hope he marries a nice girl from Brooklyn.
The Russian oligarchs now own great wealth inside and outside of Russia. They are not geniuses, like Elon Musk in America, but may be comparable to American capitalists like John D. Rockefeller, founder of that fortune built on oil a century ago.
I have just listened to the first Obama Romney debate. Prokhorov is a head taller than our candidates. And he has more appeal than they do to an audience of likely voters.
Musk is, I believe, more capable than any of them. If we want to visit Mars, and all of us do, Musk is our man. In the meantime, let us have peace in Brooklyn and on Earth. There is much to do in industry, government, diplomacy and political-economy: not the least of which reforming credit, debt and money to allow leaders on Earth to perform the miracles we need. Thanks to Charlie Rose, this audience has met some of these leaders -- and on their best behavior.

To how many wives?

So he worked 20 hours a day to get his billions, his sister is like his First Lady/Vice President in his bid to run Russia and he owns part of one of our professional teams.
I think we are at a new level of globalization.
The respective governments need to allow this action to continue while still insuring honesty and integrity.

We are told that the Brooklyn attitude is like the colors of the team: black and white.
Yeah, cuz' in Brooklyn you have to "Do The Right Thing".

A great friend of Yeltsin, Prokhorov is still an oligarch, and the Russian govt footed the bill for his takeover of those industries. This construction involved use of eminent domain, and the city floated half the bill in tax-exempt bonds. So I'll give you one guess why these guys want to be professional sports team and stadium owners. I like Brooklyn okay, but I found this self-promotion a little nauseating, as I did the last time it was the subject. Ratner, BTW, acquired the Nets 8 years ago in conjunction with this project. And, personally, I think, at almost the same size, IU's Assembly Hall is better if the balcony is a long way up, tho these frankly look no lower.
