Dear Kati,
Your conversation with Charlie about the lingering effects of this beautiful city on your life till now resonated deeply. I too was 18 when I first visited Paris. Years later, I had returned to spend an academic sojourn only to leave Paris in August 1993 for my home city and to complete my university degree. I remember vividly that first day in my adopted city, nearly twenty years ago and, Paris, a city, an esprit I know so well, has indeed occupied a rather large place in my heart ever since. Please accept my sincere condolences en retard. I will buy your book. And I know I will love and learn from it. Incidentally, your jacket in a rouge d'amour also communicates well your passions. Thanks for sharing your love story.
All the very best,
Natasha ARORA

Nice sweater--yowza.
And how much power does a woman in a red dress have over men? ("Head Games", Discovery Channel/Science Channel)

I watched Peter Jennings nightly in the early 80s while at university.
His lack of education never even crossed my mind.
In hindsight his insecurity was quite pointless.
In the 21st century, ABC News is not even on the radar screen. I would have to look up who has Peter's old job.
However, telling your ex-wife in Central Park that you have lung cancer is not the most educated thing I have ever heard.

Oh yes we are all cut from the same cloth.
Three marriages, an affair and escapes to Paris?
Charlie, why didn't you do the interview in French with subtitles?
