this election is getting interesting...for a couple of reasons...
FIRST, the liberal media is
doing a great job in support of Campaign Obama...just a further illustration of the decline of America - the standards of reporting in the US today are not what they were even a decade ago let alone back in when Watergate was happening..Watergate could happen today and no one would be the wiser, or no one would care, I don't know which of those two possibilities is worse...
SECOND, this election is not about the two candidates - it is actually too important for that...this election is about arresting the amazingly swift DECLINE of AMERICA...what has to happen is simple...American voters have to take power away from Pelosi, Reid, and Obama...Obama is a likable fellow but he has proven himself to be an incompetent President....Obama promised to fix Washington and he made it a bigger mess than ever before...Pelosi, Reid, and Obama had the chance to change Washington but they were not interested - they preferred to play ideological war games with the Congress and the Senate...they are the self professed 'progressives' but in reality they do not believe in people - you didn't do that! says it all...
if Obama is re-elected then a civil war will break out in American political life as the Congress, Senate, State and Local Government becomes inoperable due to the continuing 'ideological wars'...this will lead to violence in the cities as we saw in the 60s and 70s...surely no one wants that to happen....
if Romney is elected President it will bring a chance for America to RESET politically, economically, and socially...will he proven a good President - HE JUST HAS TO....
cheers, richard...
cheers, richard
REMant 08/02/2012 11:46 AM Report
It wasn't too long ago that the contest was being reported as even or with Romney ahead. That was before the Democrats started slinging mud in so-called swing states. Thus I'm afraid the polls are being influenced by advertising, despite the recent finding the majority of voters made up their minds long ago. The press have harped on such things as Ann Romney's $900 blouse, while having nothing but praise for Michelle Obama's, I presume borrowed, $6800 jacket, and, of course, the Romney family dog, and his San Francisco garage. The Democrats have, nevertheless, lied left and right, in order to paint Romney as "out of touch," even criminal, and while the former may be true, there's no evidence the president is anymore "in touch," either personally or, certainly, policy-wise. For their part, Republicans have taken the president's words out of context when he tries to make a case for public goods. If past trends are indicative, polls will change anyway with each convention. But I think the outcome will depend on who actually votes, and I suspect the turnout will be low, because neither candidate appeals to independents (read Tea Party), and, if Romney loses, the Tea Party will benefit.
