I would truly like to see a segment on "Brain Damage - Injury". There is some outstanding work being done on this research through grants from the Military, NFL and other foundations. A vast and unknown population of civilians live with this, the "Silent Epidemic" or largest cause of death and disability in the U.S. (and Internationally - CDC & WHO).

Dr. Jeffrey T. Barth PhD, Dr. Christine L. MacDonald and others are leading the way in many of these research areas.

      Thank You,

An Advocate for People and Families Living with Brain Injury

An astonishing, enlightening and complete interview that had me sitting in amazement with my eyes wide open. I have recently discovered the genius which is Charlie Rose and I have to say that every new interview not only maintains the ever high level of clarity and quality but it also keeps setting the notch higher and higher for itself and others. As a busy individual who is caught up in the daily stressful work environment I have long lost touch with all the good things that I have accomplished to the degree that I can no longer feel the joy and happiness that they entail. Watching the reality of ALS and the SMA in such a nice manner was like a wakeup call for me specially since at the age of 30 I have notices a mild set of mentioned ALS symptoms.

Also commendations to Peter Frates who came forward to inform people of the world of the grim reality of ALS. I was truly moved to see him in such high spirits when Dr. Neil Schneider was putting in to words the precise stages of the ALS and what will ensue for the patients.

A must see for anyone and everyone. Once Again thank you Mr. Rose for such high quality of TV interviews.

Again , commendation to Charlie Rose and Dr. Eric Kandel for an informative and compassionate look at two forms of severe illness involving brain disorder. How little most of us know about the various kinds of suffering there are in the world.

All those involved here contributed with insight, dignity and hopefulness to the program.

The paradox of our ever - increasing medical knowledge and yet very large helplessness in regard to these diseases is made painfully clear in this program.
