For those who surmised I was dead, I was just getting adjusted to the lower latitude and better organized tennis.

In addition to the credit we can get from a re-invigorated Obama, Schriver explained how character and God's gifts to his creation can combine to save us from the hell of disagreeable people. And the self-help artists whose new book will get us all get started was a fitting end to the hour.

Can we find the credit (and cash) to carry us over the hump of the euro crisis and coming elections, especially in America?
Can we give Europe the financial support and good advice to end austerity ahead of the potential trial of democracy in Europe where the 1930's threaten to come back to destroy the world?
Of course we can. All we need is for Obama to step up to the plate and do what he was elected to accomplish.
George Bush did it in 2008 when he had Paulson and Bernanke carry the ball and invent the authority to prevent global suicide.
Obama can do the same -- only he will have to carry the ball.

The Tett / Nocera interviews have not been opened for comment. The CIA interview page is not yet cleaned. So I'm posting here for convenience.
Tett /Nocera was shown in San Diego tonight with Schriver and two authors of a new book on self-help with tools to get started when you're stuck in a rut.
In my view, the total show, about credit, character and psychological blockage, is a perfect show for today's fears and frustrations.
Let me comment on it above these comments on Westin and ABC. I did enjoy the Westin interview. But tonight's show is so good I've got to discuss it as soon as possible.

The question one has to ask themselves is what did one learn from this interview? Besides a couple of personal anecdotes this interview was the kind of light weight FLUFF that one finds on Entertainment Tonight or Letterman. While watching ones kept on thinking wouldn't a younger Robert Duvall be great as Mr Westin in the Hollywood movie about ABC NETWORK news.

Well, I don't think anyone thinks much of ABC News today, and precisely because all it does anymore is either fluff or sensationalism, like some local outlet. Maybe you can blame demographics and drug companies, but not only was Jennings undermined, they sent all his ppl off to morning talk shows to be re-educated, so I don't think a lack of news chops is any excuse either. Diane Sawyer and her boy toy are the worst I can recall. Stephanopoulos or Harris or any number of others would be better. Last night ABC led with a piece CBS placed well below the fold, where it belonged. The peculiar thing about this is that CBS had just proved the paucity of this approach when ABC ran to take it up. (Not, of course, that I think CBS is much better in this department after hearing Pelley's Syria about face last week, which I presume came from 1600 Pa Ave.) I suppose Bob Woodruff and Elizabeth Vargas were Westin's idea, too. I gather viewers have him to thank for all of it, tho it seems to have resulted in his departure, as well, because it's been reported Iger fired him. Nevertheless, the longer he talked, the more evasive he seemed. At the present time he's heading an organization to go after Internet copyright cheats. But I'd be reluctant to hire the guy for anything despite the fact that he undoubtedly has better credentials than any of his bosses.
