This is hilarious--blame the Democrats and then get booed when you say your candidate's name:
"U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, in her speech to the 2012 Texas GOP Convention, painted the Democrats as trying to sow dissension among Republicans over Mitt Romney. Her all-GOP audience demonstrated the dissension that’s there, regardless of who planted it.
“We have got the job of electing Mitt Romney president of the United States … but the Democrats are trying to divide us. Democrats are trying to say Republicans aren’t enthusiastic about our nominee,” she said. “I’m plenty enthusiastic about Mitt Romney. It is time for us to rally around Mitt Romney."
There were strong boos and shouts of “Ron Paul” when she said Romney’s name, although some also applauded. She said his name several times and pretty much got the same reaction each time."
So blame the Democrats for the problem and then every time you say Romney's name you get booed.
We must be seeing a real lack of leadership from the Republicans. Wait! That is their talking point for Obama.

It is always a pleasure to see a commentator who really knows his stuff. Heilemann provides insight into the Presidential race, and he does it at breakneck speed. What is however disturbing is that he presents a picture of two candidates, neither of whom is particularly attractive or focused on the 'real issues'. I however disagree totally with the Heilmann take on Obama's foreign- policy The wave of Muslim Brotherhood takeover in the Middle East is not Obama's fault but he has done little to tilt the process in a more pro- American direction. Iran is still cheating and getting away with it. Heilmann also fails to see that the 'surprise' which may come from Obama before the election has to do with Foreign Policy.
PS Heilmann wants Romney to speak with authenticity about his two great passions, making money and the Mormon church. The problem is however that if he convinces the American people these are his passions they will see no reason to vote for him.

Can't believe this guy just claimed that Obama didn't want a single payer healthcare system. What a joke. That was exactly what he wanted when he went in on that year long healthcare debate.
Meanwhile the economy was tanking and in need of tax and entitlement reform. Brushes off Simpson Bowles who would have actually implemented the healthcare reform that was needed.
How can anybody really think Obama's got his priorities straightened out?

Former Hedge Funder Presents A Terrifying Vision Of THE END GAME
http://www.businessinsider.com/raoul-pal-the-end-game-2012-6?
Everyday, we hear some pretty grim predictions about the markets and the economy. But this is one of the more comprehensive and most gloomy outlooks we've ever seen.
Raoul Pal expects a series of sovereign defaults, the "biggest banking crisis in world history", and asserts that we don't have many options to stop it.
Pal previously co-managed the GLG Global Macro Fund. He is also a Goldman Sachs alum. He currently writes for The Global Macro Investor, a research publication for large and institutional investors.
A note on the presentation; the last slide is not meant to suggest that we're going back to the economic activity of 3000 years ago. It refers to the 3000 year old trade links between the nations along the Indian Ocean, which Mr. Pal believes will be the center of world's opportunities. Just like the West 50 years ago, they have "...low debts, high savings and a young population".

Raoul's Background
Raoul Pal has previously co-managed the GLG Global Macro Fund in London for GLG Partners, one of the largest hedge fund groups in the world.
Raoul came to GLG from Goldman Sachs where he co-managed the hedge fund sales business in Equities and Equity Derivatives in Europe. Other stop-off points on the way were Natwest Markets and HSBC, although he began his career by training traders in technical analysis.
Raoul Pal retired from managing client money in 2004 at the age of 36 and now lives on the Valencian coast of Spain, from where he writes for The Global Macro Investor.

Charlie,
Long time listener 1st time commenting. Praise to you and your staff for having such incredible guests. But please let them speak their minds, let them finish their thoughts. For example John Heilemann was talking about Romney's religion and he was about to say whether Romney felt badly about his religion and you pipe in "Should he be?" rather than letting Heilman finish his thought. Maybe you'll think I'm off base but it's really annoying for this listener. Please let the guests go with their own train of thought, it's likely to turn out much better than interrupting. PLEASE. You've been great at scheduling wonderful guests but the interuptions are a detraction. IMO it seems like an attempt to be provocative and it just doesn't.
Thanks, Chandler Hovey

He said, "Like what?"

10%?
20%?
Error of omission in your analysis my friend.

Heilemann is not a credible journalist about the election. He is a commentator for the liberal MSNBC network. His comments were only slightly disguised favorable pro-obama and anti-Romney. Rose didn't call him on anything.

Here are some different perspectives:
The universe in its origin, do not have any separation. All things are united as one.
Our next future is likely to be in the level of sharing through our souls, sharing the thoughts without privacy, sharing the pains with shame, sharing visions without limitation and sharing the joys without reservation.
Looking back, we were all very primitive animals, either ate others or be eaten. The money system made many families homeless. It can not be justified under the law for primitive beings. Anyone shall have the right to have a place in an unoccupied territory.
Please help to move us forwards toward future instead of backwards in the past.
Someone or some entity shall step up to do research on human soul. We may all carry little greys as our souls. Hopefully we will find out the answer…WHO WE TRULY ARE

'Republicans are united behind Romney because Republicans hate Obama.'
Yes hate is the trigger point for Republicans.
Yet you still need a trigger point for the Independents and can the Republicans spread their hate to them?
Perhaps it will again have to be the "Architect's" God, guns and gays as in elections past?

Let us discuss the notion of perceived reality. Mr Heilemann for the sake of arguement is 3 steps left of Center politically. His perception or vantage point of Barrack Obama would place him far closer to the Center politically than a person who is 3 steps right of center, who would view Obama as being even farther left. So it just comes down to your vantage point as to whether one thinks Obama is just left of center or is far left of center.
