Very good points you are making Neil and thank you for making Anne aware of this. I understand though were Anne is coming from and I respect here love and light approach, because it can be useful and healing. However it has its downfalls and can lead to ignorance and naivety and thus to disappointment and potential abuse and being manipulated if it is not balanced with discernment and wisdom.
Here some words on this topic that deeply resonate with me:
''Through eons of time, souls are being constantly created, so it would just make sense that there are some souls that would have a greater amount of experience, wisdom, expertise and "soul evolution" than others. Then there are souls who keep having the same experiences over and over again because they haven't gleaned the wisdom that their soul sent them here to experience in the first place.
Each being here on Earth is at a different stage of soul evolution due to the different life experiences it has previously undergone, both here on Earth and in other realms. With this in mind, to say we are "all the same" is ludicrous so when I hear new-agers say, "we are all the same, we are all one" I want to revolt!
Yes, there is a thread that connects all life in the grand web of this illusion/hologram we call 3-D, and that web is a web of LOVE! This LOVE web connects the plant, animal, and mineral kingdoms all together in one grand matrix. BUT, there is a trap here. To say/embrace "we are all one" could covertly align you with the very energies, elements, and beings that are deceptively attempting to control and have power over everyone and everything. There are beings, entities, energies and elements on this planet that are corrupting and altering this web into a distorted web of Anti-Love. One way they are attempting to overthrow it is by infiltration and deception. It takes an eagle eye and top notch truth detectors to identify some of these traps... and this is something that Indigos were trained to do. They were also trained to walk in Love, emanating immense and intense amounts, while scanning for infiltration. When this infiltration / infection is found in the web, Indigos were trained in either converting this distortion or removing it.
This propaganda agenda that promotes "we are all the same" has a self-serving motive. They might as well say that we are all clones from the same mold, no one greater or lesser, all the same. This perception being sold to us reeks of imprisonment of the mind and soul. No room for growth or individualism.....just everyone and everything painted a neutral "beige." If this campaign continues to run, and Indigos and other members of the CCC buy into it, the entire rescue/clean-up operation is in jeopardy.
This does not mean that we do not honor other people, other cultures, and life forms for their similarities and differences. It means that we don't turn a blind eye to blatant but quiet overthrow techniques from the powers that be.
I can agree that it is not only important, but MANDATORY to keep altered egos in check so that a "super ego" doesn't run amok and get out of control. This is a "no brainer" ...egos constantly need to be monitored and balanced. I also agree that to be older doesn't make you better; it should only make you more responsible and wiser.''

Anne, ..be careful. If we are "all one", then there can be no theft, because one person cannot steal from themself.
The government does want you to believe "We are all one" -- for they can then take everything you have in your possession, and it can not be called theft.
Money does not create poverty, our decisions as individuals and as voters do.
Our souls can take care of themselves -- if we let them -- that too is our choice.
Lastly, there is no "unoccupied territory" where we can go sit out the turmoil of life -- and like it or not, ourselves and our possessions are still being eaten alive, each and every day.
May your soul stay happy nonetheless! .. :)

Here are some different perspectives:
The universe in its origin, do not have any separation. All things are united as one.
Our next future is likely to be in the level of sharing through our souls, sharing the thoughts without privacy, sharing the pains with shame, sharing visions without limitation and sharing the joys without reservation.
Looking back, we were all very primitive animals, either ate others or be eaten. The money system made many families homeless. It can not be justified under the law for primitive beings. Anyone shall have the right to have a place in an unoccupied territory.
Please help to move us forwards toward future instead of backwards in the past.
Someone or some entity shall step up to do research on human soul. We may all carry little greys as our souls. Hopefully we will find out the answer…WHO WE TRULY ARE

WRT the military-industrial complex that DR does not see for less military spending (currently 0.9T), it was DR who was the day after 9/11 was scheduled to report to a Congressional committee that there was an audit report whereby the Pentagon could not account for 0.9 trillion in expenditures. And this was shelved due to 9/11. Understood. However the expenditures continue and value for money is zero in many line items.

Secretary Rumsfeld mentions the cost of Defense (really offense) at a very reasonable 4% range of our GDP.
Let us not forget other defense-related non-DOD spending, such as Veterans Affairs, Homeland Security, and interest paid on debt incurred in past wars, which has increased even as a percentage of the national GDP.
Then since we are in a global economy let us look around.
Our 2012 budget is 6-7 times larger than the $106 billions of the military budget of China (oh and we hear time and time again about big bad China), and is more than the next twenty largest military spenders combined (more than 20 COMBINED--you are killing us like with the cost of health care).
The United States and its close allies are responsible for two-thirds to three-quarters of the world's military spending (of which, in turn, the U.S. is responsible for the majority).[36][37][38]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_budget_of_the_United_States
Both the cost of our Department of Offense (isn't Homeland Security really our Defense) and the cost of our Health Care (soon to be a fifth of our GDP) will bring us to our knees.

When was the last time that we had a world superpower that depended on financing from other countries to keep itself barely financially afloat?
Without the charity of various countries from around the world including Japan, Brazil and China – the USA economic system would implode into a black hole.
What China has been doing to the United States for many years can't be considered an investment in US securities – it's more like charity since these supposed investments are becoming worthless by the day.
The Chinese have been accumulating trillions of US dollars (confetti) that are losing its real value by the second.
In January 2004 I posted this information on the Elite Trader Economics forum regarding Emmanuel Todd's book: “After the Empire - The Breakdown of the American Order”
July 26, 2003
The Conceited Empire
A historian credited with predicting the downfall of the Soviet Union in the 1970s now says that the US has been on its way out for the last decade
The power and influence of the United States is being overestimated, claims French historian and demographer Emmanuel Todd. "There will be no American Empire." "The world is too large and dynamic to be controlled by one power." According to Todd, whose 1976 book predicted the fall of the Soviet Union, there is no question: the decline of America the Superpower has already begun.
Emmanuel Todd compares the US to 16th century Spain, arguing that US economic power is being undermined by the decline of its industrial base and its increased dependence on other countries to feed its consumption.
Mr. Todd, wrote that America is economically, militarily, and ideologically too weak to actually control the world. The US is still the most powerful nation in the world today, but there are many indicators that they are about to relinquish their position as solitary superpower. He said: “In my 1976 book, La chute finale (Before the Fall: The End of Soviet Domination), I based my prediction of the fall of the Soviet Union on the relevant indicators of the time. An analysis of current demographic, cultural, military, economic, and ideological factors leads me to conclude that the remaining pole of the former bipolar world order will not remain alone in its position. The world has become too large and complex to accept the predominance of one power. There will not be an American Empire.
The American hegemony from the end of WW II into the late 1980s in military, economic, and ideological terms definitely had imperial qualities. In 1945 fully half the manufactured goods in the world originated in the US. And although there was a Communist-bloc in Eurasia, East Germany, and North Korea, the strong American military, the navy and air force, exercised strategic control over the rest of the globe, with the support and understanding of many allies, whose common goal was the fight against communism. Although communism had some dispersed support among intellectuals, workers, and peasant groups, the power and influence of the US was by and large with the agreement of a majority throughout the world. It was a benevolent empire. The Marshall Plan was an exemplary political and economic strategy. America was, for decades, a 'good' superpower.
It has, above all, become a weak one. The US no longer has the might to control the large strategic players, primarily Germany and Japan. Their industrial capacity is clearly smaller than that of Europe and approximately equal to that of Japan. With twice the population, this is no great accomplishment.
Their military potential is nevertheless still the largest by far, but is declining and consistently over estimated. The use of military bases is dependent on the good will of their allies, many of which are not as willing as before. The theatrical military activism against inconsequential rogue states that we are currently witnessing plays out against this backdrop. It is a sign of weakness, not of strength. But weakness makes for unpredictability. The US is about to become a problem for the world, where we have previously been accustomed to seeing a solution in them.
*****
Another interview with Emmanuel Todd regarding his book.
This interview was the subject of some discussion at Metafilter.com.
In a Nutshell:
The US leadership doesn't know anymore where to turn. They know that they are monetarily dependent on the rest of the world, and they are afraid of becoming inconsequential. There are no more Nazis and Communists. While a demographic, democratic, and politically stabilizing world recognizes that it is increasingly less dependent on the US, America is discovering that it is increasingly dependent on the rest of the world. That is the reason for the rush into military action and adventures. It is classic.
Classic?
The only remaining superiority is military. This is classic for a crumbling system. The final glory is militarism. The fall of the Soviet Union took place in an identical context. Their economy was in decline, and their leadership grew fearful. Their military apparatus gained in size and stature and the Russians embarked on adventures to forget their economic shortcomings. The parallels in the US are obvious. The process has significantly accelerated in the past few months.
...One of the working propositions of my book, After the Empire is that the concept of military control of the globe no longer makes any sense. In relation to the military, there will be a balance of power in the future. There is still a nuclear balance of power between the US and Russia. The notion that sections of the globe can be controlled through military might is passé, because it is unrealistic. You can destroy regimes and bomb their infrastructure, as the Americans have done in Afghanistan, but the populations -- including those in the developing world -- have become educated and literate enough to eliminate any possibility of re-colonization. The only power that ultimately counts today is economic power.
...Most apparent is how clumsy the US has been to date, and how far they have moved away from any notion of universality. They don't see the world as it really is anymore. They are failing in any balanced and fair approach to their allies. All of this reminds me of Germany under Wilhelm II. The US is losing allies steadily. One gets the impression that an office somewhere in Washington has been tasked with the duty to daily prepare a scheme to develop new enemies for the US.

Listen to Robert Gates NOT Donald Rumsfeld:
Secretary of Defense Robert Gates wrote in 2009 that the U.S. should adjust its priorities and spending to address the changing nature of threats in the world: "What all these potential adversaries—from terrorist cells to rogue nations to rising powers—have in common is that they have learned that it is unwise to confront the United States directly on conventional military terms. The United States cannot take its current dominance for granted and needs to invest in the programs, platforms, and personnel that will ensure that dominance's persistence. But it is also important to keep some perspective. As much as the U.S. Navy has shrunk since the end of the Cold War, for example, in terms of tonnage, its battle fleet is still larger than the next 13 navies combined—and 11 of those 13 navies are U.S. allies or partners."[43] Secretary Gates announced some of his budget recommendations in April 2009.[44]

NARRATOR: Cheney was looking for information that linked Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein.
JAMES BAMFORD: But they weren't getting that information from the CIA. And so he put pressure, I think, on Rumsfeld and on the Pentagon to come up with their own estimates.
NARRATOR: Rumsfeld saw an opportunity for the civilians in the Department of Defense to finally get in the intelligence business. Inside the Pentagon bureaucracy, he could easily and quietly grow a nearly invisible operation.

The idea is to de-value the US-Dollar to the Chinese currency, because that will boost productivity in the USA and make China less attractive for investment.
A weaker Euro and US-Dollar is great for the USA and Europe as economic entities, but not great for its people. The Bilderberg group and the people backing it are most concerned about China and in order get a grip and their grip on China the Chinese currency has to become the third global reserve currency as quickly as possible.

Mr Rumsfield reminds one of the man who whittles a square truth peg into a round truth peg to fit a round truth hole. When asked about the US plans for Iraqi reconstruction after the fall of Saddam, Mr Rumsfield answered that it was Army Commands job not his and as such didn't know anything about it. Then with regards to Afghanistan, he was fully knowledgeable about the tribal differences and a decentralized Afghan political structure. How can it be that he was well versed on one and not the other? One thinks the title of Mr Rumsfeld's book should have instead been entitled, "THE KNOWING AND UNKNOWING RUMSFIELD"
"Misleading" about the Defense budget being funded by borrowed money? With 40 cents of every USD that the US government spends being borrowed, the portion of the 700B USD Defense Budget being borrowed is 280B USD a year. Which is rougly what all of Europe spends per year on defense. If one recalls General and later President Eisenhower warned about the "Military Industrial Complex." as he left the Presidency. Since that time (JFK/LBJ) the US has had a GUNS AND BUTTER policy in which both segements have not been fully funded, and that deficit was masked over by the SS Payroll taxes being put into the GA to be treated later as an accounts payable. Mr Rumsfield was party to this policy at least in the Republican adminsitrations over the decades. So how is it that Mr Rumsfield thinks that it is "misleading" to think that at least a portion of the Defense budget wasn't put on the AMex Card? Perhaps it is Mr Rumsfield himself that is doing the "misleading."
