FaceBook might be better named EgoBook.
As we heard when "The Social Network" came out: "FaceBook is to social networking as reality TV is to reality".

REMant... What? The world would be better w/o the BEACH BOYS?!... They were my teens and 20s! I couldn't live in a World without the "Boys"... shutter the thought!
Right now, I'm still pi$$ed at FaceBook for confusing and disorienting me with Timeline, and for selling their stock to those fat-cat Wall Street guys before we "little folks" (the ones that MADE him/them...) had a chance! Stock up or down, it would have been nice to have been asked...

FaceBook went public and was valued at $104B.
This interview is a fascinating look back.

FaceBook you might want to tread very, very lightly:
“FaceBook is valued at $15B and we’re (MySpace) worth $20B.” It is certainly not based upon revenue? “Not at FaceBook.”
Where is the revenue source for MySpace and where is it going to be? We will do just under a billion dollars in revenue this year and the company is just about five years old. It is an advertising based platform. MySpace represents between 10 and 12% of all the page views on the internet. It is a big, big mass platform. Big Brands will spend 40-50% on a portal like Google and 10% of advertising budget on a social network. The first challenge is just patience.
The home page of MySpace has a bigger audience than American Idol.
“Since October we have outgrown FaceBook on almost every metric: deeper engagement, more page views, more time spent, more new users, etc.”
MySpace will soon be launching different profiles so you could have three profiles on MySpace—family, business and friend life.
WOW Charlie!!! all this less than four years ago.

Hopefully, Facebook will help to educate us with such large amount money. Charlie Rose has done a great job to inform us through interviews. Thank you.

This 3-dimensional physical world does not exist in reality. We use this physical world to gain information into our souls. The soul works more than just a complex computer, having the capabilities of saving information, generating behaviors/thoughts/senses, having the will to survive, giving birth and etc…
The Sun, the gravitation force and our senses make this physical world to be so real to us, therefore we have never noticed that we are all enslaved ourselves for our limitation.
===============================================================
Here are 12 dimensions in the universe:3 physical dimensions, 3 non-physical dimensions, time, universe expansion, possibility, parallel dimension, merging/separation and duplication.
The highest physical l being in our universe is a nine dimensional intelligent being. After that, we can only see non-physical spiritual beings.
The 48 dimensional intelligent beings are purely high vibrating frequency of “female” energy filled with information; they have no form, no face and no gender as we defined, but they can transform themselves into anything and go into any physical bodies. They created us and our universe.
==============================================================
New understanding of eight senses or eight consciousnesses:
5 senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell by eye, ear, tongue, skin and nose.
6 sense: intuition and compassion by the invisible soul inside our body
7 sense: invisible and immortal “data cable” transferring information between 6 sense and 8 sense during sleeping.
8 sense: our united non-separable soul kept together within mother earth. Invisible and immortal.
===============================================================
When we look into the sky, we are all humble by the creation.
There are total 48 dimensions in our universe. 36 dimensions are inaccessible to us. Our souls can access 12 dimensions (12 strand soul DNA) while this material world with plant earth limits us to only 3 dimensions with Double Helix DNA.
Knowledge is limitless, so does intelligent being.
Our soul has no difference; we are united as one. Our differences in body, senses, sex, intelligence, power and wealth, is only the trap in the darkness which prevent us to unite our other half soul into the lightness.

How good is that? Not very good if, like Charlie probably has, you've put so much capital in it. Without a doubt the world would be a better place with neither Beach Boys nor FB. In any case, the more I've seen of the latter, the less I think of it. The programming is just awful. And it's ridiculously poorly organized. Like IMDb it doesn't always find what you're searching for, nor always work in the same way twice. That may be why they spend day and night coding.
It was perhaps innovative at its inception in 2004, but is hardly anymore, and I'd think it represents more the evolution of Internet use, and equipment improvement than anything else. Certainly the Egyptian revolution didn't require it.
Nor can I divine where they plan to go with it. Many think there's no way they'll ever sell enough advertising to to pay the dividends expected. So what will they do with the money raised, anyway? Start a new business? Try to become a portal for the entire web? Wait till the regulators get wind of that!
I'm sure most feel the price will be bid up and up, but without the ad income, I doubt it will go very far up for very long, and to get that, they have to attract a LOT more ppl. From my own experience looking for classmates and so forth, I think they aren't doing at all well in that regard, and I expect it to fairly soon have more business and organizations looking for members, than members looking for businesses and organizations. It strikes me their only path to success lies in dispossessing the rest of the Web, tho I'm sure they don't want to see it that way. On the whole, I think GM's assessment is correct.
I see Zuckerberg got himself married to a doctor on Friday, so he won't be have to worry too much if his 500+ million shares tank.
