We saw it on Saturday night. It was all right.

More like a "Love Boat" or "Fantasy Island" episode with a big budget and big name cast.

Many story lines require a suspension of belief like in "Love Boat" or "Fantasy Island".

We were told that a visit to India will change you for life. So populated that it is very difficult to cope. Overwhelming because of so much coming at you. Assaults the senses. Stark contrast of poor vs rich. Something extraordinary in the patience of the people and their endurance.

Yes, so are the Hindus more Christ-like than Christians?

How much of the movie budget went to help fund birth control?

We heard a discussion on Sentimentality—British allergic to it, a lie in that it purports to be something it isn’t. Tries to tell people how to feel. Packaging it with music. Voice and character of the film. Must be plain spoken and doesn’t try to steer you nor manipulate your emotion.

The Hallmark Channel is full of overdrawn sentimentality and many times the acting and writing fall short so it is left to the music to manipulate.

Rick, in Casablanca, is the kind of sentimentalist we want.

I hope this movie has more of Rick and less of the Hallmark Channel.

Might prove inspirational, esp for a British audience.
