Bremmer comes across as a swell-headed little know-it- all. Despite this and the endorsements of many of the powerful and important he makes mistakes. For instance he speaks about Turkey as a major stable economic power when Turkey is facing an economic crisis. He also speaks of Turkey as favoring the secular middle- class when Erdogan has devastated the secular forces in the military, and suppressed the secular elements of the free press. He mocks those who spoke about a possible collapse of the European union but that very prospect is in the headlines again today. I was surprised by the way Charlie Rose simply deferred to him at every turn. Softball is not the word for it.

I found this report fascinating. However I could tell that Ian Bremmer and Charlie Rose favor an integrated economic political system where large institutions play a role. They truly believe these institutions are better abriters of stability. I wonder if it is due to their association to large economic and political forums such as Bilddeberg that makes them more faithful to the idea of navigating a globalized regime rather than a collection of autonomous states in order to promote stability?

Just a thought. I know I said Bilderberg. As a person who has read and informed himself with some of the released transcripts of conferences. No conspiracy theories here.

Around 1000 years ago when Tang dynasty in China reached its prosperity, Chinese spread everywhere in the world and they spread their so-called Tang's civilization. At that time the population of world was growing to its edge. Mongol empire was demanded to rise fast and to perform Trojan War in world scale. Finally, they became victim in Gods' plot and misunderstood by others. After Yuan dynasty, Chinese built their own country 'Ming'. The most attractive history in Ming dynasty is spy war recorded in history book and Chinese TV series. They hate Mongolians because they are strong and uncompromised. Thus, Chinese brought Mandarin to dominate the country called Qing dynasty. They seduced Mandarins to grow garden. I guess because growing garden is just like growing money based on history TV series 'Kangxi dynasty'. When Qing dynasty was almost out of control in Kangxi's domination, Mongolians went to Beijing and talk to Kangxi. Burning all stuffs made by Chinese on the entrance to Beijing before leaving. Then Kangxi immediately conquered Taiwan island. Unfortunately, Mandarins were corrupted and overthrown 100 years ago. Today, no more than 70 years since second world war, population reached its limit again. Chinese and Taiwanese are striving to bring the whole world into the same circle again. They are urgently finding a country like Mandarins. Germany? They are uncompromised. United States is the best one. In this time, they are learning a word 'democracy'. Thus, dropping the word behind garden. The feeling is just like when dropping garbage on the street, happy with pleasure. You can imagine what will happen in the following years. Corruption, overthrow, build new Chinese country, Tang dynasty, populating earth, Ming dynasty, find next 'Mandarins'. Is it conscious doing or unconscious doing. Horrible. We have no choice because of world collapse in rapid pace.

Something new and surprising in this time is Chinese actively built the world largest concentration camp by manipulating real estate. Is it the self-evident fact that Chinese dragon is the most ancient spirit?

How does Achilles kill enemies who are demigod descendants having sharp reaction and short-term memory? Achilles' physical body is made perfectly logic to his mind by fire and ambrosia in order to realize prophecy. Excitingly, his weapon is made by Hephaestus while upsettingly, only at some crucial point in the war.

Helen, the keystone of bridge in premeditation towards Trojan War and the bridge designer for ending Trojan War by teaching Troy the beauty of horse. Helen contains pure blood, has distinguished taste on horse, and be able to know the lethal point of men and events from Nemesis. It should have been possible for Helen to fall in love with Paris because of purity, but Eros who is the son of Aphrodite, whom horse is one of the sacred to, and Poseidon to make illusion or mirage of horse from Paris in her mind. Exciting! Build the bridge and find the Helen.

      Prepare for Trojan War

Achilles' mission in depopulating demigod descendants in Trojan War; STYX's spirit flows throughout Achilles' physical body, which functions in digesting enemy's soul; Achilles' heel is the connection between his physical body and STYX; Alzheimer's; But where is the energy in STYX produced by digestion of long-term memory in individuals going? Is it possible Dragon spirit is digested in STYX? Or contain the spirit in trees or garden?

Aphrodite, goddess of very ancient creatures made abstractly from Heaven by C/Kronus (Why Zeus fears threats of violence between Gods by Aphrodite's intention to marry other Gods and demand her to marry Hephaestus.) ; Dragon, some of whose complex structures evolved from Aphrodite, and who spreads disease and projects hallucination leading to violence by intended marriages; Boar, who is suggested Dragon in Ancient Chinese metaphor and God of Ares in Greek mythology; Ares, whom Hera gives birth and attempts to match Zeus' feat in producing Athena.

TV can get better if it suggests solutions to the hard luck stories it airs.

    8. Saultxyca  05/08/2012 05:57 AM Report

High octane, fun monologue from Ian Bremmer. I watched it twice. How can TV offerings get any better than this? And on a Friday night.

"Every Nation for Itself: Winners and Losers in a G-Zero World"

Inside every mation it is every firm for itself. Inside every firm, it is every person for himself.

The above prevails, "more or less", so to speak.

So the 'kicker', "Winners and Losers in a G-Zero World" is suspected of promising more than it can deliver:

      a. The G-zero world is imaginary. Although no nation gets tenure for its wealth, power or exemplary wisdom, the larger its exports the longer it's likely to be missed if they stop.

      b. Tonight it's austerity versus growth in Europe. If growth wins soon, America and Asia will follow. We will be able to live without taxes by keping production humming.

Production does not fully create its own monetized DEMAND. We need monetary and financial planning and operations for such results.

We have not a moment to spare.

Early on in China talk...indicates the corruption in Chinese system and US must keep an eye on it.WOW! Most Americans see the banksters on Wall St owning the Executive and Congress and courts and the corruption that inflicts the financial sector and the cancer growth on governance.

Thanks for this very interesting interview.

I wish you had had time to comment more on South America.

    12. REMant  05/07/2012 11:58 AM Report

Bremmer talks and writes a lot, but all you ever hear are concatenated platitudes. How many of the 1.3 billion Chinese realy know anything at all about Bo Xilai? Corruption historically is of govt by business, not of business by govt. China would appear to be selling American securities, not buying them. Everything indicates that it is not they, but we, who are the impediment to their joining the league of civilizers. And say what you will about their so-called neo-colonialism, it seems to me that they are a whole lot less intrusive than the old-fashioned kind. This is all beginning to sound like Schadenfreude. Summers, of course, is a CFR crazy of long-standing. Tho Bremmer is apparently not, he did his graduate work at Stanford and landed a place at Hoover. Given his general Whiggishness, he may as well be. He has written several pieces with Roubini, who has become something of a turncoat, so that's not surprising either. Given the amount of punditry Bremmer engages in, I think his condominium must be underwater.
