...Is anyone else getting as pi$$ed off at jeje826 as I am?

jeje: Please take your blatant "ad" to Craig's List! ...This is NOT the place to sell your wares....

She had me, up until the "no fish or chicken" part... I eat more whole grain fiber than does a horse... Steamed, seasoned edamame in the pod is better than popcorn! Avocado, tomato, and onion salad with, olive oil and fresh basil, is Heaven! (but tofu sucks!) ...We humans are omnivores, as much as she would like to recreate the human species... We need a certain amount of meat to sustain our dietary requirements successfully. Lord knows, I wish I was a vegan... I hate bothering and killing animals for my survival! ...but I am a creature who is a product of the dietary requirements that enabled human evolution. If I had to go without fish or chicken, I would eat my neighbors' kids!

We don't need to pork-out on processed, boxed crap, or fast-food, but we are meant to eat the wide bounty of natural foods (in the moderation of our ancestors), that nature provides us...

sorry "your" little social club or "you are a" little social club so whatever just forget any typos

    4. blank  05/04/2012 08:42 PM Report

[I DON'T REALLY BELIEVE THIS 100% LIKE I'M NOT SWEATING IT BUT I'LL POST IT ANYWAY]

[also i'll post this here since she's talking about the concept of "CROWDING OUT" i think it relates - http://www.charlierose.com/view/interview/12337]

ps - don't take offense over the steak comment i eat potatoes all the time

      ----

let's see the federal government comes in here and shuts down dispensaries which are highly and EXTREMELY regulated required to use renewable energy for growing etc not allowed 500 ft within a school combined with other medical services and then related to loss of tax revenue buses (that kids ACTUALLY GET IN AND RIDE TO SCHOOL ON) are being completely repainted with giant vomit inducing alcohol advertisements WHAT A JOKE way to ruin the city obviously these people in washington have taken a few too MANY hits to the head I THINK THESE STEAK AND POTATO DRY DRUNK REDNECK HICKS IN DC SHOULD MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS DC IS A JOKE I GO THERE ALL THE TIME a bunch of corny ass fake ass pseudo intellectuals in politics

i'm not really trippin it's all out of my control but who's the real idiot at the end of your life when you're lying in bed you'll have to realize that you're just an idiot whoever is responsible for this you should have just talked to the city and discussed it (you even have our city council members scared that they're going to be prosecuted for selling drugs because they regulate and collect tax money from it)

that's what i think and i know it's the truth (I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON BEHIND THE SCENES BUT) and i'm sure the confused intentions are good but there is a point where you need to start USING YOUR MIND

know that a few more little kids are being murdered and it's on your hands this is a fact and this is the truth

CAUSE and EFFECT try to put the two together (there plenty of other places out there you can focus on and SCREW UP if you really want to be GAY and LAME or whatever you want to call yourself)

how about RETARD HELLO get a grip YOU'RE CHOOSING ALCOHOL OVER MEDICAL MARIJUANA

FOCUS ON YOUR OWN NEIGHBORHOOD AND LET PEOPLE WHO LIVE OUT HERE AND WHO ARE ELECTED HERE DEAL WITH THIS

      that's my suggestion

HOW ABOUT STICK TO YOUR REDNECK OBESE HICK DEPRESSED TOWNS WHERE YOU BELONG LIKE WEST VIRGINIA (AND DC)

you're not intelligent try focusing on where YOU went wrong in life and what was the REAL cause of that

before you start trying to mess up other places

(i'm going to send this to the person responsible)

YOU ALL JUST WATCH TV AND PLAY GOLF INSTEAD OF WORKING IN THE OFFICE I KNOW HOW YOU APPOINTEES GET DOWN GETTING OVER $100,000 A YEAR $150,000 FOR THAT YOU ALL DO NOTHING (and now we have to repaint buses with alcohol advertisements that kids going to school ride on to pay for that)

you're little social club where the only thing you accomplish is to destroy other places

YOU ALL SHUT DOWN A DISPENSARY NEAR CU WHEN THE CU BUS THAT THE STUDENTS RIDE ON IS AN ALCOHOL BOX WHAT A JOKE!!!

elementary school kids riding in liqour boxes!!!

      WASHINGTON IS LAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMEEEEEEEE

Look up Kathy Freston on Amazon.com and scroll down, where you see that she is also a general wellness and relationship guru with titles on how to find one's soul mate. Really. Then visit her Wiki entry to find out what qualifies Mrs. Freston to such sweeping gurudom. Not much disclosure there. It's healthy and wise to be skeptical of self-anointed wellness advisors of any variety.

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between sleep duration and body composition and to estimate the genetic contribution of sleep duration and body composition in a CHINESE TWIN POPULATION.

This cross-sectional analysis included 738 men and 511 women aged 21–72 year.

Charlie: Chinese, twins, fat . . . this is what you are all about buddy.

      Glug . . . glug.

Back to the water issue and this time from the Mayo Clinic:

"Although the "8 by 8" rule isn't supported by hard evidence, it remains popular because it's easy to remember. Just keep in mind that the rule should be reframed as: "Drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid a day," because all fluids count toward the daily total."

Or take it to the output end:

"Generally if you drink enough fluid so that you rarely feel thirsty and produce 1.5 liters (6.3 cups) or more of colorless or light yellow urine a day, your fluid intake is probably adequate."

      Just check for clear urine--easy.

It's been proven that humans thrive better on a plant-based diet: The American Dietetic Association is the world's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals states vegan diets are healthful and nutritious for adults, infants, children and adolescents and can help prevent and treat chronic diseases including heart disease, cancer, obesity and diabetes. http://www.eatright.org/Media/content.aspx?id=1233&terms=vegetarian+diet

ha this was funny i thought it was pretty good except i don't actually care what other people do truthfully i'm deleting everything sick of life

the way to lose weight is to DELETE the computer

    10. Saultxyca  05/04/2012 03:46 AM Report

Now, now, let's give credit where it's due: Mrs. Tom Freston also advocated eating an apple ... pure Mensa. But, who knew folks were lining up for two full hours to buy a measly cupcake? You can bake excellent cupcakes from scratch, be they organic, vegan, vegetarian or plain old Irma Rombauer, in <: 40 minutes — and that includes cleanup time. We're in trouble as a nation. They should never have chopped "Home Ec."

"Drink 8 glasses of water 8 times a day."

Cut her mike before you drowned me.

      Jeez!

      JUNK!

Give us peer reviewed studies like on the brain.

I like twin studies myself like the one released recently on sleep and weight gain.

If we must hear about going vegan on the Charlie Rose show, let's hear about it from genuine, credentialed professionals and not this dumbed-down, flimsy, cliché-ridden, pop version. Going vegan is no light matter. Cringing, I had to walk away from the TV. Lean on substance. A three-star rating is too generous by half.

    14. tabs  05/03/2012 07:44 PM Report

Ms Freston has one word to say about eating and being healthy FIBER....

    15. Heresashovel_Canyoudigit  05/03/2012 07:40 PM Report

@AQQ...A couple more stategic guests and the producer of this show will be producing for the Oprah Network.

    16. renfaiz  05/03/2012 04:22 PM Report

She's pretty, but she can't cook. I agree with the "infomercial" comment. Is Charlie's involvement in those silly weekday morning shows leaking into his PBS show?

    17. AQQ  05/03/2012 02:48 PM Report

Since when does Charlie interview diet gurus? This has gotta be the closest to "infomercial" CR has ever come.

Please bring on someone from the Paleo movement, from the scientific/medical community preferably, to rebut this attractive but misguided woman. Your commitment to suss out the truth requires it!
