"Pina" is a moving film in more ways than one. Thanks, Wim.

REMant:... I find him incredibly adorable!...

Emotion, intellect, and physical expression are totally inseparable in the human species. My body refuses to sit sit still when I hear music; blues, in particular, resonates in my mid-torso... A remarkably astute observation or insight can make me "fist-pump" in response. Similarly, stupid comments make my eyes roll (I can't help myself!)...

Your intelligent stimulation on this site compels me to peck-away my responses, then go outside to shovel snow off my sidewalk and think about it all!

I intend to see this movie...

I grew up in Heiligenhaus, Germany which is only about 30 minutes by car from Wuppertal. Heiligenhaus also contains the ancestral family farm of the acclaimed American author John Steinbeck https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Steinbeck

I have never seen a Pina Bausch piece myself, but my mother was a frequent visitor to the Pina Bausch Tanztheater in Wuppertal and modern dance was encouraged and practiced in our household hahahahaha German philosophy at its best by Wim Wenders and Pina Bausch: ''I am not interested how a dancer moves, but what moves a dancer.'' Germans are just too profound and serious, we need to lighten up every once in a while hahahahaha

The movie has received an 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes (82 Fresh and 5 Rotten).

The critical consensus called it "an immersive, gorgeously shot tribute to the people who express life through movement."

Domestic Total as of Mar. 18, 2012: $3,173,981

Perhaps the movie will now get the Charlie Rose bump.

He needs a red and green striped shirt and matching glasses, the blue is so passe.
