The simplistic beauty that she obtains is just incredible.

      She's all class.

The only genius I ever talked at length to -- fortunately and unexpectedly,in a relaxed atmosphere alone on a train --was Robert Oppenheimer. The only geniuses I ever heard performing for me in a lecture room at a college were Bertrand Russell and Walter Gellhorn. I am thankful for the experiences. Another with whom I exchanged trivial notes was John Kenneth Galbraith -- I also attended one lecture by him, not as a student, but as a political fan.

Such infinitesimal contact is different from prolonged visits via media (books, movies and TV) we all enjoy all the time.

Thanks to Charlie and Anne. Anne is an extremely articulate person -- and remembers things about her own past thought and performance that an audience can appreciate when she's interviewed. It seemed to me that Charlie was especially good at making her interview the success I found it to be.

I have never seen any of her work or heard an audio-book in the A list series. I have got to remedy these holes in my life.

      Found it:

Fly Forward "...there is suffering in the light; an excess burns. Flame is hostile to the wing. But to burn and yet to fly; this is the miracle of genius." - Victor Hugo, Les Miserables Be a genius!

    6. Carolfoasia  03/22/2012 02:26 PM Report

She says that she read something in Les Miserables about the "realm of genius," and I am looking for it and cannot find it. Could anyone help me?

Charlie, you say you wanted to go to acting school to see how actors think.

I think it is more instinct than pre-frontal cortex.

Her mother, Kathleen Ann (née McCauley), is an actress who inspired Hathaway to follow in her footsteps.

The apple does not fall far from the tree.

Her brother is gay so not only did she give up the idea of being a Nun but also is no longer a Catholic.

Now that’s an Anne Hathaway movie with Oscar written on it.

Warm welcoming face. Love her mouth and teeth. Great, great eyes.

      Mostly a chic-flick/rom-com actress.

“Rachel Getting Married” drove me insane with the shaky cam.

She shares about $3B in box office mojo:

The quarter routine must be as old as Sophocles, altho he probably used a drachma, but teaching acting is certainly one of the more absurd occupations, because, writing, even of novels plays, is didactic, while, acting attempts to create fictions, and that must be the reason the Reformation was opposed to the stage. Altho my guess is that most in Hollywoood would see it the other way 'round, there nevertheless, would seem to be no rationale for acting otherwise. The Wizard of Oz a case in point I'd think (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_interpretations_of_The_Wonderful_Wizard_of_Oz)
