... it's a sad song, that sometimes, sadly, must be sung

try not to cry ; but , rather, sing along.

Peyton Manning, is a very good quarterback, better than most. But he's No Joe Montana, Johnny Unitas, or Engleberg Humperdink.

Never has been, never will be.

He's more or less in the Ron Jaworski, Bert Jones, and Joe Theisman stature-league. Just under the Terry Bradshaw, Fran Tarkenton, and Tom Brady, League of Extraordinairy Quarterbacks.

And one notch above the League of Billy Kilmer, and Wayne Newton.

It's very sad to see Manning have to leave his team, but it's also exciting as a football fan to see where he will go and what he can do there. There is no one more dedicated or who works harder in the NFL than Peyton Manning, and his absence this last year has strangely almost done more to prove his value than his incredible record playing has.

Chawly, it softens your hands while you do the dishes .. you know?, you're soaking in it.

      It's alright . :)

Charlie, your eyes got really big when you thought of two quarterback brothers together in a restaurant in New York.

And to think of all the places you have been and all the people you have met. The little boy never leaves you.

Manning is damaged goods and if he doesn't think so then have him negotiate a contract that is pay for performance--no signing bonus, nothing until he performs on the field.

Tens of millions of dollars now would not be for his playing ability but for his ability to get fans into the stadium to pay for overpriced tickets.

Putting a hit on someone in a game doesn't sound much like sportsmanship to me.

Charlie, the Romans are calling from the coliseum: "Try to be a bit more civilized."

Peyton Manning IMHO unfortunately suffers from the same sort of problems as Donovan McNabb, not just the injuries, but his lackadaisical play, which, in fact, I've never noticed in his brother. If you ask me the Colts would have done a lot better had he taken games more seriously. Obsessed, yes, probably, but serious, no. I imagine Peyton drove the coaches nuts, which I can't suppose will augur well for his future. The Post sports staff have been editorializing against him for weeks, because they know this is just the kind of stupid move the Redskins are noted for. But he would be ill-advised to play for a team that couldn't defend him. I have no idea at all for whom he would play in the vicinity of NY, except ESPN. This was inserted I suppose, however, mainly in an attempt to mitigate the segments surrounding it. It didn't. Not by half.
