I appreciate your awareness of the audience, "the door slam makes them laugh". From the brite lit script, you pluck the viewer by the sleeve. A familiar wink, a wry smile. Maybe it's that 'love-of-the-moment' thing you speak of here.
Like Mr. Richardson's "Hee-Ho", or Ms. Rebeck's adding the words about editing, your eye-to-eye remarking is always enjoyed.
