Not a fan of the sidekick experiment.

Charlie, your young Padawan is an interesting addition. However, I do not feel the force in him and probably is not required now.

By the way, Jimmy Johnson is not just about endurance but about "ExtenZe" (ing) that endurance.

"Shake and Bake" . . . "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" seemed like a documentary after listening to some of these stories.

We see him celebrate his brother's victory, and yet unknown to him, Dale has just died.

      What an epic moment.

      What a crazy sport.

We heard that there were many brain stem injuries so NASCAR was going to have to improve safety.

They looked at everything: car, track, using a cocoon, using a capsule, moving the driver to the right, having a bigger crush area, the Hans device and just about everything to make the sport safer.

With football--and the number of concussions in High School (Frontline reported about 60K a year)--something like this is also going to have to be done.

Some even predict the rules of football may have to change to make the game less of a head-banger sport.

One has spoken about the integration of emotion and intellect as desirable traits in a leader. Therefore Mr Darell Waltrip for President. Mr Waltrip has personality, showmanship/charisma, intellect, self knowledge and seat of the pants timing. Which is far more than one can say about the field of ding bats that one now has to chose from.

Charlie, very interesting interview. This is my opinion for what it is worth. First stick to your own show and you only ocassionally need to have someone stand in for you. Second CBS This Morning is a news program, which you and the 2 ladies do not make it interesting, it is not worth your time or mine. Third Charlie, Edward R. Murrow and Charles Collingswood, did not need a hot looking chick to make "Person to Person" the show it became. Fourth, I heard you state once or twice you were writing a book, stick with that to help occupy your time, if your time needs to be occupied. Fifth are you neglecting Barclay?

      Enough said.
