Congrats on writing a book and loving your job. I would also add that the kind of money that he made certainly contributed to his passion.

Stock Price during his tenure: $52.27 on day he started and $53.14 the month he left.
Charlie, I hope he gave you loads of money because he didn't do much for the owners of Coca-Cola.

So I guess someone did well huh?

He has a great voice. Much, much better than Jack Welch and better than Michael Eisner too.
His Q score is probably way too low though.
Perhaps that will change this year.

Mr Isdell and Mr Rose chuckle about Glass-Steagal and Mr Isdell has the nerve to complain about government regulation. Mr Rose, do you not get it about Glass-Steagal? When are you going to do a series of interviews on the havoc wreaked by the dismantling of G-S? You work for public television. Come on!

"WHAT DOES THE DOG DO, WHEN HE CATCHES THE BUS?"
What a GREAT line! And so consistent with the idea of asking the "right question" in so many seemingly unrelated aspects of life! How many dollars and how many hours on the psychiatrist's couch would never be wasted, how many surrenders of free will to despots, tyrants, and propagandists, if and when faced with tough questions and dilemmas, one simply asked oneself, "What does the dog do, when he catches the bus?" Below is a list of questions I have composed, some of which all of us may have faced at one time or another in life.
Q: Why aren't you married?
A: I was afraid to catch the [ADULTHOOD] bus.
Q: Why don't you have children?
A: I was afraid to catch the [ENGENDER] bus.
Q: Why do you despise the opposite sex?
A: I was afraid to catch the [RESPECT] bus.
Q: Why haven't you lost weight?
A: I was afraid to catch the [WORTHWHILE] bus.
Q: Why do you smoke and drink too much?
A: I was afraid to catch the [CARE] bus.
Q: Why do you place yourself above others, or diminish yourself before others?
A: I was afraid to catch the [EQUALITY] bus.
Q: Why are you working in a job you hate?
A: I was afraid to catch the [RISK] bus.
Q: Why do you engage in foul speech?
A: I was afraid to catch the [RESPONSIBILITY] bus.
Q: Why do you deliberately fail in school or work?
A: I was afraid to catch the [SUCCESS] bus.
Q: Why do you fail to think and act of your own individual mind?
A: I was afraid to catch the [ORIGINAL] bus.
Q: Why do you hate [Jews, Blacks, Goyim, Fat People, Businessmen, Politicians...]
A: I was afraid to catch the [HUMANITY] bus.
Q: Why do you reduce religious Faith to religious Conflict?
A: I was afraid to catch the [HUMBLENESS] bus.
Q: Why do you reduce The Almighty to Something or Someone smaller than your own dogma?
A: I was afraid to catch the [INFINITE] bus.

Did Mr Isdell have anything to do with putting high fructose corn syrup in Coke products? Or failing to remove it? Bad for your liver, and the acid in the fizzy water is bad for your bones. Caffeine ain't so terrific either. And what about BPA in the can linings? Then, of course, there's the epidemic of obesity. Doesn't leave much to recommend except the PC stuff. But I wonder if he had anything to do with the polar bear can gaffe.

I have lived in the Philippines and Coca-Cola has a monopoly there, most people get paid near slave wages, no rights, corruption, etc. I have a hard time believing that CC works responsibly and ethically.
Coca Cola Philippines has become one of the worst employers in the country. Philippines have always been a home for Coca Cola back during its glorious days. But lately Coca Cola Philippines has had undergone some transformation. And the changes implemented by the management have always been at the expense of their workers, forcing retirement, eliminating bonuses, except for middle and higher management, discouraging joining unions, etc.
