I have failed to provide the link to the lore. So this is a snippet of the text -- at the teachable moment in accordance with copyright law:

ARTICLE NAME: Cohen, Levi, Israelite or Royal

By Joyce Eisenberg & Ellen Scolnic

      July 13, 2011

Last week, we were forwarded an email from a friend of a friend who is a friend of Alan Dershowitz, the vocal Harvard lawyer, publicity maven and defender of Israel. In the email, Dershowitz wrote that according to his sources:

"..... the future child of Prince William and Kate Middleton — the future king of England and head of the Church of England — will be Jewish.

"Kate's mother, Carol Middleton, is the daughter of Ronald Goldsmith and Dorothy Harrison, both Jews. Dorothy Harrison's parents are Robert Harrison and Elizabeth Temple — also both Jews," Dershowitz wrote.

This is an awful lot of assumption, but it was enough to get us started imagining what would happen if Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, decided to embrace her tentative Jewish roots and live a Jewish life.

The first order of business would be to hang mezuzot on the 23 doors of Kensington Palace — the front door, the west door, the gallery door and all the other doors. We're sure there's a butler with a hammer and nails who can help her.

      ===== END ARTICLE =====

The article went on and was very interesting. I will try to get a working link to it. Somehow, I can get to it, but my link does not seem to travel well.

Forgive me for re-naming Levy, "Levi". I guess the Henri got me. My dad was Henry, not Henri. My mother was of the Levi tribe, but not named Levy. If I could, I would call him Levy, his name, not Levi, my error.

In Google-ing for some of this lore, I found an article on Princess Kate Middleton and kinship:

      www.interfaithfamily.com/.../Cohen_Levi_Israelite_or_Royal.shtml

The article explains brotherhood in the modern world.

The flag of France. The necessity of certain war. The pro-American Jewish intellectual in Europe.

Republican Spain and the son of a man who fought fascism before the center in the West was united by a sneak attack by Imperial Japanese military politicians against Anglo-Franco-America and as an ally of gangster racist Aryan trash the likes of which the world had never seen.

The whole history of Europe and its derivative American hegemony now leading us back to Asia where China and India may supply massive muscle and brain power to competitions for competition's sake alone.

Henri-Levi is a decent giant who acted the role of a man with both a conscience and reputation for being wise.

Charlie Rose is his friend. And both are my friend through the miracles of the electronic age.

Some in this archive are so far below Henri-Levi in understanding, influence and democratic credentials, as to be worthy of contempt for their comment. I would like to be in the company of George Will and Gary Wills, celebrity intellectuals representing America's center-right and center-left to hear their reaction to Bernard Henri-Levi and his book on War and romantic intellectual forays into dangerous streets where words are not enough.

Henri-Levi cannot be ignored or disagreed with by any living democrat, republican and educated person. He may not be their ethnic or philosophical kin. He is mine. He may not make the choices they would if both were of equal celebrity. He does make what I hope would be mine.

Many dismiss Bernard Henri- Levy as shameless self- promoter and egomaniac amateur interventionist buffoon. But the fact of the matter the man has tremendous guts. Where else is there a celebrity of this kind who puts himself repeatedly on the firing lane? For over forty years as an idealist and opponent of unjust political regimes, in outrage against the suffering of the defenseless he has risked his own life. In Bengladesh, in Serbia, in Georgia, in Darfur and now in Tripoli. Here he succeeded in convincing Sarkozy to intervene, and thus has a major part in the overthrow of the Gaddaffi regime. What comes now in Libya will most likely not be democratic freedom. But a horrible corrupt and cruel dictator has been overthrown. The Libyan people have been liberated. What they do with this is something else.

For lesser actions Nobel Peace Prizes have been given.

    6. SharkswithfrikingLazers  12/12/2011 03:08 PM Report

Charlie, he was rambling and you brought him back with your question--especially 'what did you see in Benghazi?'

He said Syria is a blood bath with 30 or 40 deaths every day.

If his seven trips to Libya and his calls to Sarkozy prevented a Libyan blood bath then he needs a medal equivalent to what a warrior would get for saving lives.

    7. achillerossini  12/12/2011 02:48 PM Report

This episode only reiterates that this man is a complete buffoon and his delusional fantasies regarding Libya should not be given one ounce of credibility.

"HOPE FOR THE BEST, EXPECT THE WORST." - MEL BROOKS (FROM 'THE PRODUCERS')

May "Springtime for Arabs" not parallel "Sprintime for Hitler".

    9. REMant  12/12/2011 11:53 AM Report

I've already expressed myself about Mr Henri-Levy and Libya. I see no reason for this unsurprising exhibition of conceit, nor its abetment on this program. So I turned the TV off.
