Sounds odd, think different, but true:
The total vibration level of all human souls on earth will affect the humanity of our universe. It is the time for all individual on earth to take his/her responsibility and liberate his/her own soul towards higher frequency vibration of love and compassion.
Please do not trap your soul into low frequency vibration of money, justice, power, fame fear and any other things.
Please help yourself with liberation towards higher frequency of love and compassion, you will help us all. At end, we are all together as one earth with one vibration. The total vibration level of all souls on earth needs to match the new level vibration of earth in order for us to move forward.
It is the time for government to provide basic needs of individual to avoid the trap of soul.
It is the time for any intelligent men/women to find some ways or means to help lift human soul.
It is the time for us to watch movies, which make our heart melt with love. (any movies promote fear shall be banned).
It is the time for us to listen music which shakes our souls to higher vibration.
It is the time for us to make love with our loved one with great orgasm.
It is the time for us to do something to help all being on earth with great passion and deep love towards others.
It is the time for us to respect/honor all lives on earth through love and compassion.
It is the time for us to do anything without excuse to liberate our souls toward love and compassion.
WE CAN DO IT, WE MUST DO IT AND WE WILL DO IT. Our souls will vibrate very high. They will nurture our mother earth and whole universe instead of distressing them.

Thank you Mayor for keeping the LAPD in civilized mode.
After Rodney King you should win a medal for this alone--even if you are TOTALLY wrong on substance.
Perhaps you can start training other police forces since this may not be going away--cha-ching city coffers and a ho, ho, ho.

Charlie,
The question is: "How did the encampment stifle the freedom of others as the Mayor claims?"
Let's say it did. Then how do we compare freedom of the two parties in this case? The Occupiers have Constitutional freedom. What do these others have--a city ordinance?

Yes this makes sense and is a good Mayor type answer--IF THE POLITICAL SYSTEM WORKS(gerrymandering, electoral college, battle ground states, Super PACs, corporations are people).
Perhaps broaden the movement to some organization that will help you with your Arab like Spring. There might be a powerful country out there that understands a political system that has been corrupted by money and can use its special powers to help. Perhaps this country even has very special tools or even special leverage?

Our special treat to America Elects given by CRShow the other day has been given an OK by the Buddy Roemer campaign. Things are looking up. We may yet have an election to remember.
If I were Barack Obama I would NOT run for a second term now. He has no plan for one. Let him run again when he has a plan for progress.

Antonio Villaraigosa, Mayor of Los Angeles, said all the right things about Occupy Your Mind With Ending Poverty Now and Making Sense of Political Economy ASAP.
Antonio welcomed NON VIOLENT action to get publicity for urgently needed reform. And he asked his police to respect our freedom of assembly.
I would like to see two tickets in November:
Antonio and Mike Bloomberg
Dave Petraeus and Jim Jones
I would vote twice and serve the jail time for the pleasure.

Good question Charlie--"Why at this time?"
The Mayor says that the Occupiers 'consensus voting system took too long and something terrible could happen'.
Sorry, but this seems like a weasel answer.
Perhaps a better answer might be that Antonio spoke to many other Mayors and you know sales tax is important to a Mayor and it is the buying frenzy time of year.
So arrest 200 citizens and keep the sales tax money flowing. Clearing the streets, throwing up a city ordinance and stepping on the Constitution just might save some jobs at City Hall--perhaps your own.

So the Mayor came out of the Labor Movement and the Civil Rights Movement and he says the Occupiers need to engage the political process.
Isn't protesting part of this process?
Is this political process the Mayor wants the Occupiers to engage in the same one that has been purchased by Wall Street?
Perhaps the Mayor can take 108 minutes and watch "Inside Job".
