What an amazing man. Truly inspiring, a classy gentleman very much like the great leader he admired so much--Nelson Mandela. Thanks Charlie for sharing him with us over the years. He clearly saved, influenced and blessed so many lives, young and old, in business and politics, in our inner cities and in war torn lands, including mine. He was a true and reliable friend. So much to learn from the way he conducted himself. Thanks Ted for shining so brightly! Thanks Charlie for showing us the big heart inside a great American capitalist.

The two young men Ted raised are amazing: Everest is like a cheeky younger Ted and Siya reminds me of a young Mandela- bright, engaging yet humble. I agree with GinnyLee that we need more of the "wealthy people" to be as caring and generous, not just 'charitable', as Ted was. What a legacy he leaves.
