Funny, the right always complains about the educational system, blaming a lack of quality teachers for its shortcomings yet get a load of the emptied out clown car of candidates they're offering Americans for POTUS.

Halperin has shown himself to be a hack, unworthy of this show. He should move to and stay at Fox. I consider him to be a dick.

I can't say I'm surprised by the allegations against Cain, tho I have a strong feeling Karl Rove's hand is in it somewhere. I would liken Cain to Donald Trump myself, who must be wondering what Cain has, that he hasn't. It can't be the hair. But I really think either the polling can't really be very good, or the respondents don't really like him any better than Romney. I doubt ppl have given much thought to paying 12-15% on everything they buy. I can't see either of them winning the general election regardless of Obama's statistics, but Democrats clearly would like Romney to be the nominee.

There's no doubt a serious group of Republicans, not liking Romney despite his connections with the Bush family, probably over social and status issues, are nevertheless looking for some kind of Reaganesque personality who will give lip service to American problems, lower taxes, wave the flag and smite the Muslims. It's unfortunate, but if they keep it up they will undoubtedly lose this election just like the last. I wish there were some way to just send them back to the Democratic Party from which they came.

Elections are being held Tuesday for local offices in the rather wealthy county in which I reside. It has a manager and so the supervisors are somewhat superfluous, paid the same as fireman, but I was nevertheless amazed to see that none of the four candidates for chairman had a four-year college degree, and two of them no degree at all, and it was pretty much the same for the rest of the board candidates. One of them listed all the martial arts degrees he had achieved, and another touted a rap he had composed and posted on YouTube. The current chairperson had been a real estate agent, one of the more common preoccupations in this area. Most of them have, of course, previously served in various community capacities, usually connected with their children, and all of them are for "everything," especially more transportation and education spending. There's a $250 million school bond issue on the ballot, as there was, I think, a year ago, which I don't doubt will pass handily. But notwithstanding nearly all of the candidates for the board of education, a non-salaried position, have graduate degrees and several of them doctorates outside of education, I wonder when the American public is going to realize it must have representatives adequately prepared for office. (In case you're wondering, I'm writing in Muammar Gaddafi. I have never voted for a bond issue.)

I see, incidentally, Bill Clinton, himself, is running for president again. That's the problem with our system. When a monarch dies, or is decapitated, he's gone for good, at least if you can get all the offspring, as well. But ours just keep regurgitating.
