Germany is the number one destination for turkish people. Lot's of freedom and socialism. Besides that I would love to go to Turkey and spent my vacation there.

I love it, no one ever mentions the 17 year blockade of land-locked Armenia this "exemplary" modern democracy is guilty of. This is a country who can't even get its head (or heart) around a GENOCIDE its forefathers perpetrated almost 100 years ago….Please stop giving lessons for one second and look at the reflection in the mirror. As to western journalists who put up with this charade...For shame!

He says Turkey is an unique country in its own--east meets west (55% of exports go to Europe), Islam is more balanced/relaxed, energy (including Turkey's growth of 7% this year and 9% last year).

So it is not just the European Union but it is also Israel that needs to take Turkey seriously.

One could argue three overriding influences in the history of what we call the Middle East, the Turks, the Egyptians, and the Persians, and it's been that way for a very long time.

If the population of Iran is pro-American but the leadership is anti-American, as he says, then we know what we have to do--NOT GO TO WAR with Iran but help with the Persian Spring.

Stuxnet is one way to wait for the Persian Spring to begin:

Being a Turkish ex-pat I thoroughly enjoy your Turkish guests and programs about Turkey, also love your inputs and direct questions especially to Mr. Erdogan. Keep up the good work and don't ever leave us.
