Watched the Ed Show tonight and on it he aired 3 different speeches given by Reagan where he advocated exactly what Buffet advocated, that the rich pay too little in taxes

and in one Reagan asked his audience if they thought a CEO should pay less taxes than the guy who sweeps the floor. He also advocated against tax loopholes. The top tax bracket currently is the lowest since Eisenhower and Boehner and the rest of the kept party of demimondes is still humping for breaks.

I think Ronald Reagan would be mighty Proud of President Obama (at least he hits his targets) (even gets 2 for ones). Not too shabby, for a 'muslem' 'liberal' 'demagogcrat'.

If Bush and Unchained Dick was Cleaning Up like our 'Anti-American' current President is doing, Boehner-Breath would be singing, 'For He's A Jolly Good Fellow That Nobody Can Deny' and dancing on a Battleship like a Village People.

Oh yeah, I guess the repugnantcans already did that, Just Before they changed their strategy to Vietnam style tactics; How Fucking WISE was That?

Jeez, How I miss the republicans; Those Were Good Times.

President Obama is turning out to be a Terrorist's worst nightmare. I wonder what problems republicans and so-called 'conservatives' would have about that. tisk tisk

Of course his liberal base is frazzled, but they're always frazzled; So who cares what they think?. I know I don't.

      Cogent posts below.

This again raises the question about the status of this war and particularly the legitimacy of summarily killing American citizens as Ignatius mentioned at the close. The Bush admin may have waterboarded three of them, but the Obama admin has now assassinated at least two of them. Every drone strike eliminates one enemy and creates scores more. I was, incidentally, going to say something nice about Ignatius' sensibilities until I heard him expounding Keynes this morning, so he can forget it.

      If it's a conversation, BTW, it's most often a one-sided one.

    8. mutex  10/01/2011 04:43 PM Report

Obama has become a modern day Emperor, "addicted to drones", with the power to vote thumbs up or thumbs down on anyone's life he deems a threat around the world. It's hard to even say he's 'above the law'. He brings to mind Nixon's famous quote "When the President does it, that means it is not illegal." This 'Nobel Peace Prize Winner' has become scarier and more dangerous than Bush and yet his supporters continue to look the other way.

If today he can kill an American citizen, without a trial, in Yemen how long will it be before he grants himself the power to kill with impunity any 'evil doer' here at home?

First they came for the communists,

      and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,

      and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,

      and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

      Then Obama came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.
