You know the Japanese wanted a pure country too but that was not possible because many Japanese got Korean blood but they don't admit it only. Before I got married to my good Lebanese man (I am the bad one because even after marriage I still wanted to chase my dream for the world instead to be a good wife. So cannot be good wife better be the BEST MOTHER in the world so God will loves me always:)) I was working as an air-hostess in Belgium at the age of 18 in 1974. My best friend was Eiko San and her father was a Korean but nobody know except me. She was comfortable to tell me the truth because we Singaporeans love everyone. She told me many Japanese stories were like hers.
Now Japan is in big trouble their population are getting older and older not many young people giving births and they do not want outsiders to change their life style, so how?
Just like in the west the people are not comfortable with the new migrants that are changing their way of life. They are fighting with all their might to stop the flow of their influences.
In the east in the late 60's because of industrialization the westerners came in numbers and the local people were not happy with the bad practices that they had brought to our shore and thus change our way of life and thinking.

The other neighboring countries stand firm and kept their way of life as long as they could good or bad we all got eyes to see.
It is a naturally instinct to fight to uphold one IDENTITY but for how long? Therefore all these tell us we got to find a way to educate the future generations that purity in race is NOT POSSIBLE. When I was an air-hostess we were discussing that the white race were very fearful because if they inter-marriage there will not be any white race left in the Universal so in the Scandinavian countries they are stopping immigration.

Yesterday I invited John who is about 34 years old with his wife for late lunch and we talked about this conflict. Just like me he wondered why from Palestine became Israel. Now about the 2 states side by side each other he is as confused. He believes to solve the problem South Africa example should be follow. I told him that was not possible because the European Jews wanted a pure Jewish State for the Jewish people only. You know what was his reply, "How can at this time it is not possible and the world should not allow it." So I told him that is why I need to sent a petition to the world to ask for their support to bring Fairness to the world.

How Palestine Became Israel’s Land

For Palestinians, theirs is not the land of conquest, but the land of their roots going back to time immemorial. Such a lineage does not rely on a biblical promise like the Jewish claim that God promised the land to Abraham and his descendants, and is therefore, the historical site of the Jewish kingdom of Israel. It belongs to the people of Palestine by the simple fact of their continuous residence repeated through birth and possession going back to the earliest Canaanites and even those people living there before recorded history. They were there when the Israelites invaded the land, occupied it, and held it intermittently as wave after wave of other conquerors came and went, and they were still there when the Romans put an end to Jewish Palestine by destroying Jerusalem in 135AD. If a religious basis is sought, then the Palestinians can lay claim to being the descendants of Abraham’s son Ishmael who is regarded the forefather of the Arabs. But actually, Palestinian rights are enshrined in the universally accepted principle that land belongs to its indigenous inhabitants. Thus, the modern day struggle for this land by European Jewish immigrants who have no connection with Palestine other than through their religion is a colonial enterprise that seeks sovereignty for an "external Jewish population" to the exclusion of the indigenous Palestinians who, regardless of faith–Jewish, Christian or Muslim–have lived together for centuries.
Although eager to accept the UN Partition Plan of 1947 which recommended that 56% of the land be set aside for a Jewish State, 42% for an Arab state and 2% for an internationalised Jerusalem and its surrounds, the world has not said a word about the land that was seized by Zionist terrorists before the State of Israel was proclaimed on 14 May 1948. Through a series of shocking massacres, the territory assigned to the Jews suddenly became 77% resulting in more than 750,000 Palestinians being forcibly expelled and dispossessed of their homes, personal property and their homeland. The Jewish State then came into being without waiting for the United Nations Commission – prescribed in the Partition resolution – to hand authority progressively over to the Jewish and Arab leaders for their respective states.
And after the 1948 war, Israel declared Jerusalem its capital in contravention of its internationally-recognised status of corpus separatum–a status that is still recognised. Effectively, the new state of Israel was not only created in violation of, it continued to violate, the very resolution which Israelis now look to as giving them sovereignty. The Arab state imposed by the UN Partition Plan without consultation and in contradiction to the UN charter – which should have upheld the majority indigenous Palestinians’ right to self-determination – has since been deliberately and methodically whittled away by Israel, leaving nothing but isolated non-contiguous parcels of land to some 4 million Palestinians.
Around 170,000 Palestinians remained in what became Israel, the largest number of whom resided in the Galilee area, originally a designated part of the Arab state under the Partition Plan. These Palestinians also became the victims of Israel’s land grab policy. Over 438,000 acres, which was more than the total Jewish land holdings at the time, were confiscated and a further 400,000 acres were marked for confiscation. After Israel won the 1967 war, the total territory of Palestine came under Israel’s rule. It annexed East Jerusalem, despite the Holy City’s internationally recognised status and began implementing its Jewish settlement program with a vengeance. The Palestinians in Israel were increasingly aware of their precarious position politically and declared a national strike, known as "Land Day" on 30 March 1976 against Israel’s continuing ruthless land expropriation. An affinity was quickly felt between Palestinians everywhere and "Land Day" was adopted as a sort of national Palestinian day which is commemorated by Palestinians and their supporters around the world each year. This awakening of national consciousness had an unequivocal political message: end the occupation and allow self-determination of the Palestinians in a sovereign state living in peace side by side with Israel.
Thirty-one years later, the message is till resonating, but the Palestinians are further away from seeing a solution than ever before. Daily, Israel is taking a bit of land here and a bit of land there, to make all of Palestine "Israel’s Land". The problem then will be, what to do with 5 million Palestinians with no land? There are only a few possible, but criminal solutions – transfer, collective imprisonment, apartheid, and/or ethnic cleansing. Alternatively, Israel can disengage from the West Bank to the 1967 borders or agree on a single, democratic state for all. Without a just solution, the struggle for Palestine’s land will continue.

The City by the Bay. With the world's most famous and beautiful suspension bridge bridge -- and *another* one that's one of the longest and most beautiful in the world. The U.S.'s most European city.
With, dramatic greenbelt coastal nature -- hills, mountains, beaches and forests -- just north of San Francisco in the famous Marin County, dominated by a mountain that looks like Hawai'i's Diamond Head from a distance, with the country's most famous houseboat community and 'artist colony' in Sausalito, redwood forests, over-water & open-air marina cafes (some that look like you're in '*Dee Iiislands*'), and the most beautiful small quaint beach town on the West Coast.
There's Mendocino County to the north, the world famous Napa & Sanoma Valleys wine country to the northeast, and Monterey Bay and Big Sur to the south (those were the tall curvaceous mountains sloping into the Big Sur coast that even Martin Luther King cited in his most famous speech), and the world's most politically legendary, and one of the world's most prestigious, university (Berkeley) to the east across the Bay. And with the world's most spectacular valley(Yosemite) and one of the nation's most beautiful ski country, respectively, just a few hours drive away, and the world's most beautiful dessert resort towns a few hours flight away. A one-hour flight down south to L.A. is where I go to fancifully play in Malibu, Santa Monica, Newport Beach, Venice Beach, Melrose Avenue and the Sunset Strip.
The San Francisco Bay Area is the most beautiful *combination* & *meeting* of cities, land, coast, ocean, bay, cultures, palm trees, often magical Disneyesque *cotton candy fog*(!), and overall weather (we just have two seasons, *spring* and *autumn*) in the entire world!
That's why Tony Bennett and everyone with culture leaves their heart here. The most romantic city in America and one of the most romantic cities in the world -- the 'Paris' of the United States. It doesn't get any better than *this* in the US.
A regular verbal motif on our local TV stations is how lucky we all are to be living in the San Francisco Bay Area -- how we all almost have to pinch ourselves every day to make sure we're not dreaming such luck. Manhattan is the only other city in the US that I most (with Santa Monica being 2nd) that I even ever really want to periodically go to. But wherever I fly in America, or even overseas, I always want to, and *get* to, fly back to the Bay Area, as my jet glides back into SFO, with the Bay Area panorama outside my passenger seat window.
...I just came in from one of my favorite neighborhood coffeeshops and a walk on the ave with a friend -- in our *gourmet* ghetto -- on **just another** ole picture perfect weather day in the Bay Area. I'm soon headed over to Berkeley to see a political film, followed by dinner there this evening.

But he will try to balance his beliefs and those of his base with the changing majority will of Israeli's citizens. That's how Democracy works, it's slow and messy, but it's the Fairest; and hopefully if the terrorism is taken down a few notches someday the Jews and Arabs can be one big happy family again. We are not moving forward just back and fore in the argument on who is right and who is wrong. After 63 years we are back to square one because as long as America is not going to be a fair and just broker in this conflict there is no HOPE for peace.

The only way I see there must be an Arab Spring in Israel and the people from the ground will force the government to act for the sake of the future generations can live in peace and harmony. I will try to write a petition and ask my Israelis brothers and sisters to have great compassion for the Palestinian people to help them to have a homeland. At least I am doing something positive. When I manage to come out with the draft I will post it on this site.

First of all, Buddhists in Israel are are a miniscule percentage -- less than 0.1% of the population. This, although almost anyone can call themselves "Buddhist", if they want to, and still be some other religion (liberal Christian, Jewish or whatever), if they still want to, or *no* other religion, as long as they supposedly accept/practice the basic general philosophy/precepts of Buddhism (which is generally rather easy to follow, and includes respect for all life, and is *supposed* to be somewhat egalitarianism in its modern form), which isn't that hard if you're supposedly, or claim to be, a "liberal" (so obviously a Zionist Buddhist would be really yet *another* Jewish hypocrisy and contradiction in terms).

They are *not* Asian Tibetan Buddhists -- who know what colonization and foreign oppression means -- walking around in orange & yellow robes. I'm sure the situation with "Bahais" in Israel is the same -- mostly "liberal" Israeli Jews. Furthermore, Buddhists were recently warned not to open a new Buddhist Center in Israel.
I'm sure that Bahias in Israel are, likewise, a miniscule percentage. And might also include Jewish converts/followers -- although Israel keeps periodically threatening to actually pass legislative laws against any Jew converting to any other religion. At any rate, no one is really equal to (especially, white/European) Jews in Israel -- unless they are (especially, white/European) *Jewish*. There are already many homes for the Palestinian Arabs and many homes for the Palestinian Jews. Unfortunately or fortunately, due to war and hatred, love and curiosity, differences of language, culture, religion, and the tugs of war and trade of international interests, most of these homes are homes in foreign lands. Yet with the grace of the Holy One, Blessed Be He, exile may be benign, not always malevolent. As well, Israel is a home for Jews and Arabs and many others. As it says in the Bible, Israel is a "House of Prayer for All Nations:. Perhaps one day the UN will have it's center in the Holy Land and be inspired by both the Arabs and the Jews and the Christians and everyone else -- Buddhist, Hindu, Bahai, Druse, etc. -- who live there and make Israel the inspiring and thriving place that it is to all nations. The biggest threat to the Holy Land is that the three apocalyptic faiths will be so insistent on Armageddon that with todays weapons the Holy Land may be made into a crater, perhaps a crater of glass, given the ubiquitous sand. Then the insane survivors of the insane combatants may still fight for possession of the Holy Crater, all having forgotten that the Holy Land belongs to the Holy One, Blessed Be He.

Congratulations on another World Harmony Day event! Although it's nice to have large numbers of people coming out, it's really not the quantity of individuals who attended that matters so much.
