Hughes has the audacity to call out the heartless and gutless who in large part are governing much of contemporary art. Hirst, Koons, Schnabel, and more importantly, their collectors are rightly the subject of his "bullying". Good for him and keep it up. The contemporary art world is wallowing in it's own juices and somebody has to stick the fork in and call the goose cooked.

Would somebody shut this bloviator up? Hughes is a bully who spends his time putting down artists because of his own insecurities. What has he done for women in the arts? His take on modern art- P_L_E_A_S_E! All men, mostly dead. What has he done to shape modern art? NADA! Elitist prick. Go suck it, Hughes! I feel sorry for you, blowhard. Please Charlie Rose, don't put us through this again.

I agree strongly with both the above remarks; Hughes seems more ingenuous than his interlocutor who simply ignores the very interesting remark about believing in nothing.

A surprise discussion about death. Memorable Mr. Hughes quote: "you've got to 'not believe' in something".
