I suppose we have infiltrated these groups better now, and perhaps comb their communications better, but aside from the cockpit doors I can't see much to stop it happening again if ppl put their minds to it. The thing is, they don't have to. It's the last war. According to what I've read bin Laden's objective was to draw us into foreign adventures. To the extent events in the Middle East, etc do that already, there's no point in setting bombs here, except to humiliate us, which I have no doubt the Arabs would enjoy, but which they can do more easily elsewhere. Yet they don't need to do that anymore either. Friday some of those darling Egyptian protestors, disliking their military government's Israeli ties broke into the latter's Cairo embassy forcing the ambassador and staff to flee, and apparently rummaging through the files. With friends like these, who needs enemies? Charlie asked if we'd be better off patronizing them. Obviously not, since poverty is not the motivating factor. It has been found that most of these "terrorists" come from solid middle-class backgrounds. That was true of the Whigs who stirred up the American Revolution, as well, altho they did not finish it. And the same was true in France.

This lady refuses to answer Charlies' questions. Instead she answers the questions wants to answer. I get the feeling that she has risen to power through political skill. I couldn't bear to watch the whole thing because she is such a waste of time.

hey just hit me up if you want i've been spending most of my days sick and dizzy and unable to move might be affected by these pumpkin pies i've been trying to make but i want to try to utilize the other parts of my days and get out of this the best i can so i'm not going to follow politics so much and just check on the other stuff that's here for now (just browse and be less consistent - like maybe once i get things more under control i'll pay attention to politics again) i don't know how much that matters but i thought i'd say it AND i hope people are doing okay (i'm doing okay other than that) i'm still trying to go mountain biking i think it will be fun i'm working on getting my stuff in october i think it'll improve my health and get me back on track then i can just worry about the rest and get back in life

Yes indeed Charlie, how do we prevent creating terrorists?

      If you watch this documentary:

      http://www.pbs.org/pov/armadillo/

You will see we (the Danes are profiled but it is us too) are creating our own Taliban by bombing civilians and just not respecting the folks--their privacy, their rights, their crops, their livestock.

The government is also creating home-growns by their actions. Timothy McVeigh went nuts over Waco.

Perhaps everyone at Homeland Security and the vast, vast intelligence community should take a version of the Hippocratic Oath--FIRST DO NO HARM!!!
