We have the largest world economy, then China.

Some say China will have the largest GDP in three years, some say it will take 17 years.

This is if China doesn't kill their own people with air pollution or some other major problem.

Look what they did in JUST 2 days:

Damn what a success story from factory worker to billionaire.

It's Wednesday morning 3am on the West Coast. I've just watched Charlie's retrospective with four remarkable men (following last nights women).

The repeat interviews had an enormous impact on me, (as they had originally.) But putting them all together was enough to make my head spin round and round -- trying to imagine the perfect world we would have if men like these prevailed -- and the the celebrities and leaders we already have, vanished with little trace.

I will have to comment tomorrow or the next day, when the pages for these interviews are started.

Similar comment goes for Zhang Xin, the beautiful and brilliant Chinese-American (actually global) leader of real estate development (and now movie making) in China. As Mrs. Rupert Murdoch she is a world celebrity twice over. I cannot do justice to her at the moment, because the interviews with the men are in my head and their pages are not yet posted. Please allow me to return tomorrow and discuss these women (if I can).

The two retrospectives gave Charlie a well earned rest. But they also open the door for comment that asks if there is not some way for Rose interviews to be long lasting seeds for future action.

Charlie views them as stories about our passionate concerns for life, living, progress, science, business, etc. But these interviews are left in the great marketplace where they are deposited. I hope they do not amount to no more than intellectual entertainment.

Exactly how to connect their substance to our real problems -- more than if they never existed -- remains an unsolved problem all its own.
