I wish Wendi and Rupert well. They are made for each other.

She was born in poverty. She got a married man to sponser he to the US. She got Rupert to leave his first wife. She married the man who traded political newspaper endorsements in return for witholding embarrassing details in his tabloids and who supports Fox News in a quest to get the poorest and least educated people in the US to direct their anger to liberals who would best serve their interests.

Rupert and News Corp are going down now. We will see to whom Wendi jumps next. What a pair!

It should not be surprising that Americans show little interest in Chinese cinema as they don't to any great extent the films of any other country, even Britain. There's nothing new to Anglo-Americans about arranged marriages and female relationships of this sort, either, and they have been described extensively by historians, the issue of romance vs social standing and morality looming large in literature. The locus seems only to have shifted to the workplace. Tho in that area - The Red Badge of Courage and The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit, come to mind - women have been preceded by men, yet all that's seen today regarding the latter today is the occasional hackneyed offering. Whereas men have usually seen mkt society as stifling, women, on the other hand, seem to believe it liberating.

...'Wayne Wang', now that's the name to have. Though, he should Americanize it more and give it a 'John' to 'John Wayne Wang', 'That Thang' , to urbanize it with the youth. As well, better is, 'Li BLingBLing' when walking in the Arm of 'Robbin Leach'.

... she looks more Latina than Chinese; Interesting.

Beautiful, to say the least. . I wonder who Murdock leaves her to in the will.?.

My brain lit up when the camera cut to Li BingBing's face--soft and symmetrical features. Loved how she pronounced "Lesbian".

Charlie, in the interest of full disclosure, you might have said that you have been to the Wendi Deng Murdoch's home in China. I was shocked when she let it slip considering what is now going on in the news.
