‘It makes me a better producer because you are worried about doing the job instead of covering your butt. Again it is the clutter.’
Nope, it is about the balance. Blackberry 24/7--no balance.
Clarence did not get his wings dude. Pottersville is on the horizon.

'His wife went into Producer mode because she is a producer too.'
Hmm . . . sounds like someone might have been a bit difficult as a patient. How about the hospital—wonder what they would say about his three week stay?
Dr. Oz has done his own mea culpa in Time magazine about his role as a patient so perhaps we will see this book next. Jon Meacham?

His wife doesn’t know about this until Joe’s assistant calls?
Dude, you are making very bad life decisions.
Sorry, I meant you are making Larry King life decisions so I see the marriage revolving door in your future.

Charlie, good question about what his wife would say about his change.
"He (Jon Meacham) said, 'I think you've changed because of this and I don't think you know how much you've changed," Licht said in an interview. "Two days later I had a meeting with Simon and Schuster, and less than a week later I had a book deal. It was just something that took on a life of its own."
Yeah, but what he says his wife says about it does not seem to support all this. I wonder what Jon Meacham sees.

Sorry, I am bothered that you have to know special things to get good care:
First the Harry Potter Magic Words: I don’t get headaches and this is the worst headache I have ever had.
Then Vice President Joe Biden, who has had two of these, gets a friend of his involved.
I don’t know whether to cheer that Joe Biden is accessible to Mika and helps out in a pinch or boo because his medical care depends on magic words and special elite friendships.
Charlie, remember Atul Gawande and medical checklists? This story makes it sound like nothing has changed.

Wow--only 38 years old and it just happened.
Well I guess it could just happen again.
Carpe diem indeed.

I am glad you survived your ordeal. My father in 2004 at age 79 was not so lucky. He had a vein burst in his brain and died 2 months later. He was not able to walk, and most of the time didn't know what was going on around him. He was sort of caught up just in his memories. I believe the doctors he had had no idea how to help him. They just kept ordering more drugs. At 79 they probably figured oh well. I hope more becomes known on how to treat this and maybe it won't be so bad for the next person. Thanks, Carol Keogh
