I compare why people try to make him look worse than what he is to ratings.

Let say you're in a group of 5 people. You've been watching a movie and all your friends rate it 5 out of 10.

But you like this movie, you think it's a 7/10.

So you rate it a 10 to get the average score as high as possible. Than people who don't know for themself will think it's a good movie.

Bill O'Reilly is a bad influence on public. He can state whatever opinions he may have, but to go out and say "Fair and balanced!" with 7 million viewer not knowing if it's a good "movie" or not, jsut seeing it as regular journalism... that's not good.

And foxnews is suffed with this. We all know foxnews reflects the opinions of the owner Rupert Murdoch. Let's keep watch fox news, but with extreme distance.

I find O'Reilly much more likeable when he appears on other people's programs rather than his own. When he's not yelling or trying to bully his guest.

To answer Dionysus' comment, it seems that anyone who hates him is just ignorant: aka having an agenda aganist him before even listening to him.

What the haters dont realize is that only Bill O'Reilly agrees with everything he says. His supporters are growing everyday because what he tries to do is commendable, whether you agree with 10% or 90% of his opinions.

That's why he can have great conversations with men like Charlie Rose and people on both sides of any debate.

I find it funny and pathetic how people like to hate on this guy. He tells it like he believes, which is noble, and he seems very entertaining. Not the usual stock answers you hear from everyone is Politically Correct!

    5. Dionysus  07/16/2007 09:40 PM Report

I don't understand why people hate him. He doesn't seem so bad. He's doing what he thinks is best, to the best of his knowledge. He's not careless. He's not a liar, that I know of. He's not a crook. He believes in objective truth, although he doesn't always follow the established methods of attaining it. You don't have to take him too seriously. That's the mistake most people make.

Some of his views are interesting.

What a snakey piece of garbage.
