The movie was good, BUT, Planet of the Apes was always HORRIBLE science fiction. It doesn't even compare to Ray Bradbury, Phillip K. Dick, Isaac Asimov, or Dune. It is relatively uninformative, in its original, and even this version, about the human condition. It's foible of transferring the human experience to a non-human entity could have gone in a direction like Blade Runner, but we just don't have any opportunity for that. True, we empathize with the ape Ceasar, but the story never elevates above a slight, albeit very entertaining, gimmick. We don't even get a complete allegory with James Franco's character of hubris and desperation, and whether any of it was worth it.

Good movie, but not great science fiction.

Was it me or did Freida Pinto seem highly coached in her answers? More like a diplomat for the movie instead of a promoter.

Sorry, I don't see the soul in the eyes of the apes. To my eyes they look like they are lit in another room and stuck into the scene. However, it is an unusual sight and my eyes are definitely drawn to them.

When Charleton Heston kissed the woman ape that was also a strange feeling. A man passionately kissing an animal, very weird indeed. I did buy into though so the costuming wasn't all that hokey.

So that's how it happened!. I always wondered how it happened.

I didn't see the last 'Planet of the Ape' movie, because Everybody said it was STUPID. This looks kind of interesting. But is it worth chancing bringing bedbugs into the house, which they say theaters have bedbugs these days. I don't think so. I'm stay from those places. I think Everybody should.
