Occasionally, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is handed a high-profile triumph when a person of the most Wanted List is caught. The FBI recently acted on tips that led to one of the top members of the most Wanted List right after a quest that lasted over ten years. James “Whitey” Bulger, an organized crime leader from South Boston, was apprehended right after more than a decade on the move. I found this here: Notorious fugitive James Bulger arrested by FBI in Santa Monica. You can check that out for a deatiled information.

Well said Jason. Chest thumping of the capture of an 'honest' bad guy compared to the MI and financial decimaters of our ec. and treasure exposes us for the truly corrupt and venal culture we really are. When the FBI crows about indicting the likes of Lloyd Blankfein, et al then there might be reason to hope. Till then the thieves are all hiding in plain sight in Wash. D.C. and NYC - mostly.

The bigger issue is not just one gangster but a culture of widespread corruption in government or even in U.S. Transparency International consistently ranks U.S. as the most corrupted countries in developed economies, way behind Singapore, Denmark, Canada. gangster like Bulger did not/does not exist in vacuum, there is a culture and network of corruption that sustains him. People like Bulger would not survive in a "clean" country like Denmark, Singapore. The problem is, most Americans feel we are first world and corruption is not an issue.

Whitey Bulger was next to Osama bin Laden on the list and had a $2 million reward on his head.
Yes and we have Ratko Mladic, the former Bosnian Serb general accused of ordering the massacre of Muslims in 1995.
What a GREAT six weeks for the good guys! Justice for mass-murders!!!
