Yes, John Edwards did hurt America. He hurt his dying wife, his lover, his love child, his children, wasted about a million dollars on a cover-up and sucked out of us what little faith we thought there was in a politician who looked and talked like an honest, upright Man.

Just splitting hairs on the crime issue. The man--Fred Barron--who gave the money (estimated at a million dollars) wanted John Edwards to be President. The love child cover-up was just to keep Edwards in the race. So it really was a campaign contribution.

By the way, I hear most antidepressants (SSRIs) kill libido. Perhaps these high testosterone, male politicians should take them as a preventative.

Do you believe this? Friday night's show it's the John Edwards indictment; tonight's show it's the Anthony Weiner mea culpa. Then there was DSK's disgraceful exposure and fall just a few weeks ago. Rein it in, public figures; you are out of control and making us sick. How about a psychiatrist on the show to discuss this scandalous excess?

    3. doodah  06/06/2011 08:47 PM Report

... he always looks so tender.

Right or Wrong, this couldn't be happening to a bigger CHARLATAN.

My thumb is down, Feed him to the Lions! Bwahh ha hah ah hah

What a Great year so far! First Bin Laden and now this Twerp! .. I never could stand this Poo-Poo head. It's gotta be Karma. I hope it doesn't interfere with his reservation in Hell after he dies. Johnny Cochran wants to bunk up with that pretty white boy. LMAO

All pols are above the law, so live with it. From Strauss-Kahn, to recent Weiner twitter fool, to Edwards their egos are all too large for human forbearance. But by and large we get what we deserve.

P.S. What is the difference between an "admitted liar" and an "admitted lawyer?"

Politician "X" solicits "campaign funds" but diverts them to other purposes. The question becomes: what are campaign funds. Lawyers such as these are incredibly adept at not showing the intellectual ability to analyse ordinary language. Is there a reason for this professional inability?

Well, it isn't a problem Fred Karger is likely to have, but, unfortunately, he's running as a Republican. I tend to agree with Edwards's defense that the govt case is strained. On the evidence, perhaps they should indict Ms Mellon instead. What is somewhat silly is that altho this may have aided the campaign in covering up bad news, it was NOT something that positively aided the campaign, which is what the law addresses. I think, however, contra Mr Toobin that an impartial jury would understand this, but I am not at all sure after all the publicity regarding the late Ms Edwards it will be anything like impartial, and I would not be surprised that this case was brought precisely for that reason.
