A mere 4.5 months has leveled the hubris. Qwikster ... quick churn, Qwik fall.

People think bankers and law-makers understand the origins, nature and purpose of money the way plumbers understand water. But bankers and law-makers don't. They understand nothing and steal as much as they can before getting caught and going to prison.

..... Plumbers also make mistakes, but most of their mistakes are caused by bankers and law-makers efforts to snare the plumbers with money traps placed willy-nilly on all sides of the deals plumbers make with their customers, workers, inspectors and competitors.

The problems of unemployment and poverty can be solved with money that motivates work whose products sustain such motivation -- and whose effect is manageable by people using their wits. Instead of human wit, we have asked for human confidence in witless markets and habits of mind that do not in fact overcome perpetual ignorance about money and its purpose and use to bring people together to work instead of just raising hell.

      I dozed off writing:

..... Meanwhile, I would like to form a team to teach everyone functional finance -- after the ideas of Keynes and Abba Lerner.

..... They proved to my satisfaction that logistical science and the Information Revolution can create a very liquid situation where money replaces debt, computers monitor and correct accounting for ownership of future real and personal property and money, and the contradictions we live with, like the paradox of thrift, are resolved in favor of systems that work all the time -- not just for a while.

Salman Khan is a genius focused on discussions which teach ordinary people math, science and social science, with non-threatening words and diagrams -- more effectively than textbooks -- at least they try to do that. His stuff will in time go via Netflix and other hosts to every dunce in town -- starting with ME!

I'm really not a "dunce". But using the word will lighten up the task of teachoing people hard-to-master ideas, processes and structures, etc.

So Netflix and Khan courseware can becpme a team -- maybe?

Well, I see comment 1 by me is slightly garbeled. But it had a point. Reed Hastings is a genius in competition with other business genius to put wireless and optical fiber to good use -- carrying content to entertain and improve the businesses and lives of billions of earthlings -- FAST.

Last night I wrote on the discussions on Netflix and Khan Academy:

..... Forgive me for interrupting -- but some 4 hours ago I watched Reed Hastings, Salman Khan and Charlie Rose bring the future to life before my very eyes.

..... Hastings spoke of Netflix and Moore's law applied to content and organization of all we know and more -- such that it would be accessable all the time to all the people in need of help to make this a better place -- the univenrse that is.

..... Khan spoke of helping to make all we know more easily spread from a guru to a million novices who might never become gurus but could become masters of all they needed to learn to be rich and satisfied members of the brave new world being born -- as we all watch training and operations films of every process and structure in the universe -- including all of those necessary to become honest and effective at every profession and skill existing -- or soon to be.

So I immediately joined Netflix. It immediately absorbed more of me than even I owned. I was able to see a film suited to my needs -- and as I watched its magic, it kept track of where I was on a path from ignorance to informed.

I know I was pleased as punch about the nights discussions. I hope to add much more soon enough.

So I had to interrjupt this thread to tell you I had seen the fture and Charlie Rose and friends were there with solutions to every problem and problems to be addressed by every person on account of being alive.

See you soon, I hope, if i survive nother night. Killing yesterday's evil has opened up tomorrow's promise of exponential growth of know-how and why we need it to reform all that has grown around us as the sun poured energy our way.
