As a Stage IV Melanoma Cancer patient living each day with joy and sharing my life with others, I was so taken by Dr. Christensen's formulation of what a life is worth. Having lived my life so much tuned to sharing and giving to others I cannot tell you how powerful a force it is at the end.

      Dear Mr. Rose,

Thank you for your wonderful show, Mr. Rose. I am grateful that your program is still on the air! I have just discovered that Time Warner in our area, (Westlake Village, CA) has relocated you to BLOOM CH. 224. Phew! I wanted to let you know how much your program means to me, as an entrepreneur and a human being. I have watched almost every episode over the past several years. Many times, I have been moved to tears or have felt so inspired that I have danced “the Yippee Dance” in my kitchen while making dinner, multi-tasking with TiVo. :)

I am especially grateful for the inspiration regarding innovation, more than you may realize. I created My Wake Up Call® Motivational Alarm Clock Messages, which awaken you each morning with positive energy! Our customers wake up to specially structured, daily five-minute motivating messages instead of an annoying buzzer or the “alarming” news on the radio! We would love you to record motivating morning messages with us! Please let us know if you are interested in learning more about recording with us, (it’s easy, fun and you receive passive income.) I would be so happy to forward information to you.

If you do a show with start-up innovator guests, please keep me in mind! I performed leading roles in Broadway Musicals for fifteen years. Some favorites include playing Linda Ronstadt’s little sister in THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE with Kevin Kline, co-starring opposite David Cassidy in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, and singing “Memory” in CATS, in addition to other roles.

Three years ago, with a family and a typical, hectic lifestyle, I kept wishing for an affordable personal trainer to motivate me to wake up and work out each morning, before the day’s schedule started. “Necessity is the mother of invention!”

For a wonderful way to start each day, please visit MyWakeUpCalls.net! Please let me know if you would like additional information or a complimentary month of My Wake Up Call® Motivational Alarm Clock Messages! Please listen to sample messages at http://www.mywakeupcalls.net/my-products.php

      Thank you and Happy 2011!

Is socialism an inevitability in a land of robots?

I hadn't seen this side of Dr. Christensen. It was nice.

The problem is that since everyone believes God dead, there will be no sanctions to be had from Him. You have to base any such reasoning on the idea of enlightened self-interest as Adam Smith did. But what Prof Christensen said about Nixon is certainly true. He probably got that from Ike and the famous debate with Khrushchev, but also from Vietnam. The idea of deinstitutionalizing and substituting technology for labor tho, is very, very old hat, and has long been underway here. It unfortunately does not address the real cause, and, in fact, somewhat exacerbates it, as does automation generally. The problem is runaway money creation, which along with the 3d world's reserve armies, prices American labor out of the market for such services.
