Just another accepting mainstream MI mouth organ.

He seems like a nice person but he lost me when it came to Assange and Wikileaks mostly because if the military are doing it in our name then we need to know. example: The footage of the attack on Iraqi civilians, including children, the fact that they knew there were children in the van, and their comments. I am still sickened by what I saw and heard.

I'm sorry, but IMHO ppl like Gen Shelton are exactly the reason why stuff like the Wikileaks material has to be revealed. I wish it weren't so, but it takes two to tango. He was, I believe, transferred to Walter Reed from our local hospital, and I think he was very lucky. I can certainly think of some notable exceptions to the idea that success favors the bold, or at least the headstrong. After a rather peculiar year's hiatus upon completing training, he was a Special Forces Project Delta platoon leader from 1966-7 in Vietnam, and in 1969-70, along with holding battalion-level staff positions, commanded a company of the 173rd Airborne in Binh Dinh. A Democrat, he will be remembered for getting TRICARE passed. He seems to have acquired his own publicity dept at http://hughshelton.com/
