      You overlook the simple-minded herd mentality in the US of A in general, a la the subprime bubble, the TEA party, the (ingloriously stupid) TV fare, yadda, yadda.

      Does anyone really think Facebook will endure? I mean the thing not the movie. It will probably be around long enough to interest youngsters in the film, but I don't see the film in the same light as Greek tragedy, either. What I want to know is where Zuckerberg got even the money he gave Newark. Facebook seems to me to already be going the way of MySpace and Craig's List, and otherwise it seems ppl are either only interested in collecting "friends" or just looking for free webspace for showing pictures to and holding conversations with family and the like. It's a good place to organize a reunion for instance. The website keeps trying to open things up, but is largely resisted in that.
