Lets hope they pay the musicians well - as a Writer & Producer - Im obviously on the side of the musician. Otherwise Mr. Westergren will have nothing but a digital hiss coming over the airwaves...
And get this digital copyright sorted out.
Its a piece of nonsense.
Ian Cussick.

I've migrated from jazz to classical. Prefer and like others to select the daily playlist. Bet I profit. Broadened. Save me from myself. Thank you.

This sounds like the way old-fashioned stores operated. The assortment depended on customer tastes, and the retailer would be the conduit between mfr and customer. Just substitute disc jockey for salesman and you have the way old-fashioned radio operated. Discount stores and automated radio removed this feedback loop thinking it was a waste of money, but it seems with the web they will go to any length now to get it back. One fix is the huge number of stations and channels available these days, but that is pretty inefficient, even in this day and age. However, left to their own devices ppl will play the same thing over and over, and change stations or channels until they find it, and I think, overall, that it would be better to just bring back ppl listeners like to listen to and trust. In this vein, I read an op-ed in the Post yesterday that argued the continued success of China and Germany is due to the similar old-fashioned way their banks operate, which sounds true enough, except that it did not discuss Japan.
