      I agree largely with him. Putin was undoubtedly necessary, and so is a lessened reliance on commodities, and deepening of the economy. As in China, liberalization will be contingent on it, not vice versa, and it is clear the ppl largely agree. This is not to say there aren't many issues, but so are there with China and I don't see much reason to think less of Russia therefore.
