Alright JohnMatro:
I can tell you right now that the cause of global warming is not from man. The affects of global warming may be increased by man there is no denying that however to say that the "weaning ourselves from petroleum, over consumption and over population." is the way of stopping global warming is just stupid. Our earth is in a constant flux of warming and cooling. We can stop our impact on the speed of global warming but we can never stop it from happening and we are definitely not the cause of it. If you get your information from the media your gonna be wrong. So before you post something do the correct research. CMA

I was annoyed with both Charlie & Morgan when Charlie mentioned climate change and Morgan said "yeah, but the earth has warmed and cooled many times in it's history". Charlie didn't say anything in return. Shame on both of them for not taking the opportunity to acknowledge that global warming is caused by man and then continuing to talk about the importance of weaning ourselves from petroleum, over consumption and over population. Morgan implied that because the earth has natural warming/cooling cycles that wreck destruction on living things then somehow it's okay for man to foul his own nest. Morgan also said that Alpha Centauri is 8 light years away, it's not, it's 4.7 light years away. It was sad seeing two intelligent guys talking about science and they both came across as idiots--typical of the paucity of science knowledge among the general public. I'm glad that Freeman is only narrating the new science show and not actual doing any thinking.

Please visit and comment, I am looking forward to hearing from all different points of view!

The miniseries sounds fascinating - those are some of my favorite questions - and I've forwarded this conversation link to a friend. Thank you!
