Well... Mr. Rose & Mr. Ford,
If you and the many, many influential well to do, folks with concerns about the future of the planet and humanity, i*have seen on this show and others like it, over the past few years, TRULY desire your question answered...
“Who would that leader be”
Or to put it more realistically, Whom would want the job...
Why don’t you support and promote someone mentally and physically capable and willing to take on the global adversity, sorrow, tribulation, ridicule, contempt, debilitating travel, media attention and death threats, necessary to get the job done... as... It is the shepherd who leads the lambs to slaughter, while the wolf desires the flock roam healthy, united & free.
12*Minutes + 13*Months = World4Peace...
Unite the C.H.A.O.S.
Most*Sincerely,
BL*M
PS - Let’s start with a national 'Peace*Train' for Haiti, gathering the millions of tons of goods, equipment, tents etc. etc. etc. sitting useless in storage units and garages across this country, load it all in containers on trains to ships to where it can do some good, saving lives and rebuilding hope and global faith, in America.

Good politically correct stuff. The kind of story the media loves. No side effects. CBS? It figures. BBC funds sense; CBS funds sensibility. As the man told Mika, they're going in another direction. I'm happy to see that Ford himself is not exactly in that mold. I've never seen the Indiana Jones movies, but I've always enjoyed that bit in the trailers where he drills the scimitar-wielding bad guy, because it says so much about the difference between West and East. I don't know how many times I've turned off a show when the protagonist failed to do that, because I hate irrationality.
I really doubt tho that E O Wilson is the man to lead anything. I don't think he writes particularly well, either. I'd be embarrassed to have written those books. You know the Pulitzer Prize is a lot like the Oscars, given always to an insider, touching their sensibilities, in consideration of seniority, and always displaying the appropriate amount of curb appeal. It should never be by an unknown or junior member of the club, radical, disturbing or recondite. Rarely do critics or professionals agree with the choices. I don't say all this about Wilson because he eschews culture, but because, despite requisite footnotes, he knows so damn little about it. If an ecosystem evolves, then it does so also culturally, and intellectually. Darwin, no less than Dewey, saw that, but apparently the majority of the scientific community has not yet, and remain Social Darwinists. As I've said regarding some other of the breed hereabouts, they believe they are doing good by identifying truth, but they have so little real regard for it that they are either certain about everything, or the most profound skeptics.
