It's been two and a half years since I first saw this interview. Thanks Charlie as always. Beautiful images accompanied by thoughtful design and majestic execution have staying power. Annabelle, I trust you are now living your "dream" to work on public buildings. Sadly, I will miss the 2012 Bill's Design Talks series and your lecture at The Greene Space in NYC. I know it will be illuminating. Maybe it'll be available on YouTube post-event? All the best. Natasha ARORA

Perhaps Ms. Selidorf would look into the possibilities of designing schools or prefabricated hospitals in Haiti. The need is there. The archways and shading of some of the older architectural works could be incorporated into classrooms or waiting areas.

She still has a faint German accent and sentence construction, so I wondered whether she was born here, She seems to be a Bauhaus exponent to a large extent, although that house on the organic farm looks like something out of a Hollywood western.
