      Anthony Shadid was an amazing reporter who did so much to bring balanced stories on the Middle East to western audiences. We have lost a genuine and passionate journalist. Rest in peace, Mr Shadid. You will be greatly missed but your legacy will live on forever. Condolences to your family.
