Doesn't Wes Anderson seem like the nicest guy ever?

Hell of a filmmaker as well

Hard to believe he's 40 - looks 19. If he feels he is a natty dresser, he is deluding himself. But he is in his mid-life crisis. I was unimpressed by the looks of the film, too. Making something that will appeal to both kids AND their parents has been the Disney, and Pixar, business model for some time, so there's nothing new in that. It is easier said than done, and I think a lot of it will be over the kid's heads, even allowing that they are smarter than ppl usually give them credit for. I understand that it follows the book closely, so perhaps that will help.
