Bobby and Teddy Kennedy have always reminded me of the Tiberius and Gaius Gracchus, patrician brothers of ancient Rome who were Tribunes of the People and sought to give voice to those silenced by poverty and anonymity. I hope I am wrong, but I fear we shall not see his like again soon.

Thank you for your usual excellent work. I was out of the country when I learned of Senator Kennedy's passing. I took comfort in knowing that I would be able to view your thorough, sensible, respectful coverage online upon my return. Thanks again.

A good man. Chappiquidick(sp?) a perverse blessing. Otherwise a shoo-in dynastic president? Universal health care a protracted goal. But budget outlays for health are unacceptable. Deficit outlays for death and war are right up our public psyche/priorities. For validation refer to Vietnam, Iraq and Af-Pak. Opposed by Ted. Be a while before that level of quality rises again. Nothing but venal whores left, all fully purchased by lobbyists.
