Now we need a locating device to locate where our friends are. Technology has made us more than ever isolated from one another. And how ego centric can you be - my time is too precious to make plans with friends ahead of time... and let's not use our mouths to speak anymore - text messaging is really a wonderful way to have deep and meaningful relationships with people we really care about.

Insects seem to communicate a lot, especially in hot weather, but I wouldn't say spend much time engaged in deep thought. Most of what this seems to do has been available already, but not perhaps in a point-of-sale ad-supported way. Google, it seems, is not above following the same sort of predatory business practices M$ has been noted for. I think, however, this trend toward services may all be about to come to an abrupt end in the current economic climate, or, if it does not, will become yet another problem for policymakers to solve.
