What he was saying was that at Tyson's peak he was the best fighter, that's not a ridiculous statement. In terms of heavyweights i would only put joe louis over him, as good as Ali was he was over rated as a boxer.

Great interview Charlie. Thanks for that.
Mike was a great and very confused fighter.
He was simply abused by people he trusted. I wish him well.
Good luck Mike. Don’t look behind!

Lennox Lewis?!! You got to be kidding!

The claim that Tyson was the greatest heavyweight fighter of all time is not shared by most of the boxing world. Being a big boxing fan, the best heavyweights of all time are Lennox Lewis and Mohammed Ali.

The claim that Tyson was the greatest heavyweight fighter of all time is ridiculous. Tyson's analysis as the key quality of intimidating the other, of making him paralyzed with fear points to a certain key element in 'fighting'. But the great fighters fought against those who fought against them in very great fights, and were not paralyzed in fear. Sugar Ray and Ali were as hundreds of other fighters way beyond Tyson in their ring artistry , fighting ability and courage.
I do not blame Toback for trying to sell Tyson in the best way he can. And the movie may in fact be a very good one, and give insights into who Tyson is. But there is hype here on all fronts.

He was the most exciting boxer ever! It's a tragedy that he didn't allow himself to be the heavyweight champion of all time.

I was nervous watching that entire interview. Tyson looks like he could explode at any moment and completely lose control. Maybe it's from following his history in the public eye and in the sport of boxing, but I was actually relieved when it was over. And I was glad that he kept his composure. He is a fascinating figure in sports. It has been a long time since I have heard anything about him, so I look forward to seeing the documentary.

For a million dollars ($1,000,000.00)(after taxes), I'll let him beat the hell out of me... I know I'm not anybody, but I can dress up like Big Bird... That should draw enough interest, and bring out the stars, like sean penn and his humble money.
