Fact is w/ Mike not bringing any big men the last few yrs and having no discipline w/ the outside players. ie letting them shoot three pointers from all over the place is going to get left to second fiddle to Roy Williams. Also, mark it down: Jeffery Capel will be the next Duke head coach. fyi: I went to OU and am a big Sooner fan and the things he's done in such a short time make me realize that he is the golden boy in waiting for the big seat. But like I said Roy will own Mike until he changes his m.o. about letting the inmates run the place and lack of bringing in the blue chip big boys. And if I was a big man I wouldn't want to go to Duke myself cause they never feed them the ball to go inside and that will be why Roy will be king in those parts.

Mike Tyson knows more than he is aware of. Paralyze your enemy with fear he says. All of you Americans out there understand one thing The Beast has got you in its grip. Transfer that fear back to IT. After all there are more of you than of IT.

Mike seemed to imply (I think) that Obama should be more assertive as opposed to apologetic. Though it seems his game plan and recruits (a la Geithner, Summers) are less than viable, being arrogantly assertive on the world stage has been overworked. It's time to reflect the humility we have worked so hard to earn.

I presume Mike was not referring to locker room pep talk, but with respect to real leadership, and if he was referring to the president, as I think he must have been, I think he is right, because unlike this coach, that one doesn't seem to have a viable game plan, and it appears he didn't recruit all that well either.

Bought his book, despite being a moderate sports fan. The psyche part, I hope, is covered. He comes off as someone you'd like to perform for. Pressures to make the final-four every year would give one pause. Life it seems ought to have a little more to worry about, but maybe not when weighed against financial pirating by the likes of Bobby Rubin et al. A little basketball hysteria becomes a needed relief.
